"Sudden first date!"
Kal's POV
"What's going on?" I asked Claudia. I am so confused of what's happening right now. She practically drags me and Karson to the backyard gazebo, which is decorated differently now. Just a moment ago, it was looking so normal before. Tables with purple covers and now, from the party vibe decorations earlier it turns into something I can't put the right words to it.
"Romantic?" Claudia whispered in my ear as she pushed me and a confused Karson inside the gazebo.
"Thank me later, okay?" she giggled. "Have fun boys!" she shouted as she jogged away.
"So, uhm..." Karson cleared his voice. I can feel and see the blood rushing slowly in his beautiful tan face.
"I'm very sorry. This seems too exaggerated and..." he cut me off. Waving his hands in front of me.
"No! No, need to apologies, K-kal!" He is so cute when he stuttered saying my name. It just made me giggle a little loud. "I'm very sorry. I should be the one doing this for you." His words made me stop and look at him. Shy and embarrassment were all over his face.
Did he just say what I thought I heard he said? He wants to... what exactly? Ugh! Am I too naïve or assuming?
I just stood there looking at him intently. Figuring how I should do this soulmate thing.
Don't get me wrong. I know what to do, but when you're in that spot. It seems like everything you know just seem to vanish.
"Kal?" he cleared his throat.
"Oh! I'm sorry! I'm just figuring out.... This." I replied. Gesturing my hands to everything, my eyes see. From the lightly dimmed place. Only using string lights decoratively hang around the ceiling and in the middle of the gazebo, to the candlelit up on the table in the middle of the place with two chairs, champagne, and a rose.
"I don't know if you like it. But I have to be honest. I like that we are alone." He holds my hand. And there go those warm tingles that run from our hands to all over my body. The comfortable tingles that wants to make me moan.
I didn't know soulmates can make you feel this wave of warmth and security. "I want to know you, Kal" he said before he guided me to our table.
"Me too." I just smiled at him. This Karson is different than my Karson. He seems confident and full of power than my Karson.
But that Karson was a kid version of a man that I don't know now. Is it betrayal if I said I still wanted to look for my childhood's Karson than my soulmate?
He gently pulled the chair in front of me, guided me as I take a sit and pushed it gently back to the table and take his sit on the other end.
