[A/N: Hi, guys! I'm still alive! Lol Sorry if it took super long to post a new chapter. A lot of things happened since the last time I posted. Had a new job, lost some loved one, resigned from that toxic job and breakup. Now, this COVID-19 happened. Hope y'all are doing fine. No more excuses and promises. I'll post when I can. I'll do my best to do it often.

Here's a beautiful picture of the moon and a night in the woods for my fishes.]

CHAPTER 12

"FULLMOON"

Kal's POV

Everyone is still mourning Jez's death. And it still hurt. Even tho I only knew her for a short time but the bond with us merpeople is strong. And I know Aki is the most affected one among us. Jez was like her sister. They've been together the longest.

"Hey, Aki?" I wanna ask him if he wants to go for a swim. It's been a month since we last dipped into the water. I know how he feels because I can feel his pain. Literally. I don't know why but I did. "Do you wanna go for a swim? There is this beautiful lake that you might like"

"Thanks, Kal. I really need that right now" We're in my room. Bengie watching Harry Potter for how many times; I forgot to count the times we did because this is Aki's comfort movie. He's literally living with us now because he said he wants to be with me. Apol and I didn't complain because Aki is the closest thing I have for a brother. And it doesn't bother Karson as well.

"That's good. Cuz I think we really do need to stretch our fins this full moon" I smiled at him trying to lighten up the mood. He looked at me and smiled weakly. "And I think tonight's going to be a good one"

"Come on?" I stand up beside the foot of my bed. He stretched out his hand while lying on the bed and I grabbed it and pulled him to stand.

"Hey, fishbutt! Slowly! You almost pulled off my arm!" Aki complained. It made me laugh because somehow I felt he revert back to his old self.

"I"m sorry! I got a little excited" I can't help but laugh and answered him honestly. Well, it's true. I got excited. Aki just smirked in response.

We went out of my room and walk downstairs. Aki goes straight to the kitchen and I followed him. I sit on the counter and looked at him.

"Ok, so we don't have to go outside to ride a bike to go there. Apol showed me a few weeks ago about his hidden secret dungeon!" I told him excitedly. But all I got is his bored expression and looked at me like he already knows about it. "Aki, you already know about it do you?"

"Uhm, yeah, Kal. All of us know about it" He replied as he took out a box of orange juice inside the fridge and poured it in a glass.

"So, this is not a secret dungeon after all?" I pouted. I am so disappointed. I thought it's a little secret between me and my fake uncle.
