Chapter 5: Barbie and Aster

Y/n's POV:
I came back from Yuqi's house and sorted my items. I bought Sunwoo his favorite drink. Pear juice was his favorite. I got 4 boxes just for him. I went over to his house but there was no answer, for the second time. I left it on the doorstep and wrote a note.

~You must love pear juice so I bought you some. Please be safe, I hope to see you soon. -Y/n~

I left and went to the flower shop. I turned on the rookie idol's latest track on. I got a buttercup bouquet because it reminded me of Sunwoo. The petals were so cute. I went back home and got out a vase. "Aster, I'll take good care of you." I said to myself as I smiled. "Honey? Where did you go after coming back from Yuqi's house?" My mom said as she came downstairs. "Oh, I went to drop off some drinks for one of my friends, then I went to the flower shop to get some Aster flowers." I said placing the vase on the counter. "Why Aster flowers?" She asked giving me a confused look. "They're special, well the name to me." I said looking at it. "Mm. Someone you like? Just kidding. It's beautiful. I have to get to work. Can you buy some groceries for me? We're making kimchi, japchae, tteokbokki and jiajangmyeon. Invite some friends won't you? I'll make sure you bring that one guy who you walked with." My mom said smiling and left. I smiled to myself, then I placed the flowers in my room. "My Aster." I soon closed the door and left to the store.

//2 hours later//
I just dropped off the foods and put it away. Sunwoo wants to meet me at the park. The bus dropped me off there and I sat on the bench waiting for him.

Soon he came by, just 10 minutes later. "Y/n? Is that you?" Sunwoo said as I turned back and saw him with the two pear drinks. "Im sorry I was running late. I was busy all day. I saw the note and I decided to come meet you here so we can talk and drink something. Thank you." Sunwoo said taking a seat beside me and handing me the box of pear juice. "You're welcome. I thought about you when I saw them." I said looking at Sunwoo. "Really?" He gave me a smile. "Yes." I poked in my straw and started to drink. "Sunwoo? Why are you so busy lately?" I asked him looking down. "Oh. It's a special event that I'm preparing for." He took a sip of his drink. "That's nice. Good luck on it." I smiled and continued drinking. "Y/n, I want to tell you something." Sunwoo said reaching for my hand. "What is it?" I said looking up at him. "Don't worry about anything. I'm always by your side even if I'm not here physically. I want you to be happy. Please smile more." He held my hands. "Sunwoo-ah?" I asked. "Mmh?" He looked at me. "Do you like Tzuyu?" I glanced at him then looked down. "What? No. She's only a friend of mines." Sunwoo said taking my chin to look at him. "If you were to ask if I liked anyone. It'd be you." He smiled and kissed my forehead. "I thought we were just friends like you said." I gave him a look. "Do you really believe that? Besides let's play in the playground. Last one is a rotten egg." Sunwoo said running to the slide. I started to run with him. "You're the rotten egg." He said laughing and smiling. He made me so happy. Maybe things wasn't so bad. "Sunwoo? My mom wants me to invite my friends, would you be able to make it tomorrow after school?" I said climbing to reach him. "I think I would be free. Yeah, I think I can. Let me walk you home tomorrow then?" He said wrapping his arms around my waist. "Sure." I said wrapping my arms around his shoulders. After we hugged we walked back to my house. "Thanks for today. It was nice to see you." I said giving him a sticker and placing it on his face. "That's a sticker for making today great." I said putting away the access wrapper.

Sunwoo's POV:
She was so cute. I couldn't resist it so I began to laugh and smile. "What?" She said giving me a confused look. "You looked like a kid." I said taking a sticker from her pocket and placing it on her cheek. "Thanks for making today great too, Y/n." I said smiling and giving her a hug. "Goodnight, sleep well." I said walking down the stairs. "You too. Get home safely." She said opening the door. I turned back and looked at her. "Barbie and Aster." I raised my pinky for a promise. "Barbie and Aster forever." She said raising her pinky too.
