chapter sixteen

It's been two months since that whole rico incident and we haven't talked since. He did blow up my phone trying to apologize but after a couple of days it's like he just gave up or stopped caring. I've just been focused on my kids and career. My whole modeling career really kicked off once I got rid of all the distractions. So far I've been featured on magazine covers, interviews, and let's not talk about my gain instagram. The twins first birthday is coming up in two weeks and I'm so excited my babies are going to be one.

As I lay in my bed thinking about how my life has been going I feel my bed dip indicating that Jamie sat down. "Hey boo" she said with a smile causing me to turn over and return the smile.

She's been staying at my house more than usual because she didn't want to run into Rico. She's such a good friend for no reason.

"Hey jay" I said rubbing the sleep out of my eyes and pulling the covers off of myself. While doing that I notice Jamie staring and smiling at me causing me to stop what I'm doing. "What" I said.

She stood to her feet and started jumping on my bed "my babies are about to be one the party is going to be so cute I already got so many ideas it's going to be great" she went on. "Woah Jamie who said I wanted you to plan it" I said "what do you mean I'm the party planner that's what I do" she said looking at me. "Maybe I want to plan it" I said causing her to hurt into laughter "girl please we both know that's too much work for you even if it is your own kids" she said.

I gasped "what I'm taken back I can't believe you would say something like that" I said getting up to brush my teeth. "Okay whatever I want ihop we should go" Jamie said while going through my stuff. "I don't want sweet pancakes" I said while snatching the purse she had out of her hand and putting it back on the rack in my closet.

I went across the hall to see ken wide awake standing in his crib waiting for me "hi man you was waiting for mommy to come get you"I cooed to him causing him to laugh showing off his four teeth. "Look at them gums" I said to him while walking into his sisters room.

She was hanging out of her crib like she just been waiting for hours on something. I picked her up and she huffed "don't be huffing like you got a job you not grown" I said to her causing her to wave her hands and roll her neck while babbling back. "Girl what you talking about huh" I said back.

"Your phone ringing " Jamie yelled from my room "well answer it" I said to her and continued to talk to my daughter. I placed the twins down on the floor to play until I came back.

"Who was it" I asked Jamie. She looked over at me worriedly "it was André, he said he wanted to talk because he felt bad about the twins and he wanted to see them" she said.

"So now he wants to see them that deadbeat can waste his time somewhere else" I said. "Well I know your mad but those are his kids too royalty I get that he hasn't tried to see them but can you honestly say after he cheated would you even let him in the house" She asked.

I looked down at my feet trying to convince myself that I would've "yeah to see his kids" I said causing Jamie to give me a look "come on now you probably would've tried to kill him if he would've showed up after that" Jamie said making me think.

Am I the reason that my kids don't see they're dad? Is it my fault? "Maybe I will meet up with him to talk about it" I said "woah I meant talk on the phone why meet up" she said "I can tell if he's lying in person and that'll let me know if he really misses his kids" I said already planning it in my head.

After I got the twins fed and washed up I went to work leaving them with Jamie. Our schedule works together perfectly she has late after noon classes and I get off at 2:40 so she watches them in the day while I'm at work.
