(Jeremy wakes up in a hospital bed. Next to him is RICH, in a full body cast.)
"Ooh, we get the thene in the hothpital..." Rich says sheepishly, seeing himself in the body cast he just wanted to forget about.
JEREMY
Hello?
(He tries to get up.)
Ow. Ow ow ow ow ow.
RICH
(He now had an apparent lisp.) Feelth like you're miththing a part of yourthelf, doethn't it?
"Aw, there's that lisp~" Jake cooed, earning a blush from Rich, who always blushed when someone pointed out his lisp.
JEREMY
...Rich?
"Wath it really that hard to tell that it wath me?" he asks.
"A bit, I guess," Jeremy replies, shrugging.
RICH
Hurtth like a motherfucker too. Be honetht: what are they thaying about me at thchool? (Beat.) That bad?
JEREMY
Sorry, man...
RICH
Doethn't matter... I'm finally free of that thhiny happy hive mind! When I get outta here, the ladieth are gonna learn to love the real Richard Goranthki. (an epiphany) And the dudes. Oh my god, I'm totally bi!
"How did you realize?" Jake asks, looking at Rich. He shys away from his friend's gaze.
"Um, I don't wanna-"
Rich is saved by the musical continuing. He sighs in relief when Jake focuses back on the musical on the screen.
JEREMY
Your squip's gone? But how?
RICH
Athk your buddy. Anti-thocial headphoneth kid?
"I have a name, you know!" Michael huffs.
He's been by like, a ton, by the way. What ith he, your boyfriend? No judgment. Just curious. Totally bi now.
"He is now~" Michael coos into Jeremy's ear, causing him to let out a little squeak. A blush danced across the skinny boy's face.
(MICHAEL enters.)
MICHAEL
I'm sure some special someone will be thrilled to have you, Rich.
"Like me?" Jake mumbles.
Rich looks confused. "What did you thay?" he asks.
"Oh, uh, nothing..."
RICH
You think?
(MICHAEL pulls the hospital curtain shut on RICH.)
"Thankth a lot for that by the way..." Rich says, although, it is not acknowledged.
