A Night in Wonderland

School was never a fan favorite of mine, especially since I missed so many days that I usually spent flights and road trips doing make-up work and teaching myself the material for the tests. We all did though, and that was probably the only way we learned anything.

"Look at my little celebrities!" Tyrese joked when we entered the cafeteria for our typical day at lunch. He was our only friend besides each other, and we'd know him since...well forever ever since he moved her from Canada.

"Shut up Tyrese," Rose responded when she sat down.

"No, but foreal how was Miami? Did you see any ass or famous porn starts?" He leaned over the table and emphasized his questions by moving his hand. "Ya boy has gotta know!" I rolled my eyes, trying not to a laugh.

"You're a fool Ty," Today for lunch was pizza, which I was happy about. Usually we'd skip lunch all together and sneak a drive to the nearest fast food restaurant. But today, Principal Rodney was standing at the door, crushing our plans completely.

"No, we didn't but we saw Jason Romano!" Meg squealed. Now Ty was the one rolling his eyes, completely unimpressed.

"He's a wasteman. I wanted the 401 on the girls not some ex-boybander," He took a few bites of his pizza and I did the same. Cardboard, such an interesting taste.

"He's a beautiful ex-boybander who just so happens to be the best producer in the industry," Rose noted, taking a few spoon fulls of her yogurt. "And who smells like heaven," She added. Meg gave her a high five.

"I call bull, not when Raymond Mike exists. He's the best, and if you disagree you can just cho-"

"One two, one two. Mic check one two three!" He was cut off by one of the most annoying voices ever. The attention of the cafeteria had now been shifted to Lana who stood on the stage with a mic in one hand and a blue paper in the other. "Hello seniors, as you know this school year is finally coming to an end-" The room erupted in cheer, even the underclassmen were cheering at that. She clesrl didn't like being cut off and looked annoyed at it. "Eh hem...like I was saying. Prom tickets are still in sale for $250 dollars as of now. This year's theme is a Night in Wonderland." I gagged. "Tickets are available from me and the rest of he yearbook committee. Everyone come out and have a fantastic night!" She yelled before finally leaving.

"I can't wait!" Meg squealed. "I already have my outfit and makeup planned!"

"Me too! I ordered mine offline,"

"Same," Silently, I ate my pizza. I hated school dances, they were discussing and were just for taking pictures and grinding on someone you like, two things I could do without paying almost $300 for.

Listening to their prom plans weren't that exciting, and I was happy when it was all over.
School ended after a long day of too much work, and me and Rose walked over to her car did us random things. "I'm so happy about the audition tomorrow. Can I come over? Maybe we can get some homework done?"

"Sure sure, maybe you can pick out a name for my new brother," She laughed.

"Of course!" The sky was beautiful today after all the rain we had encountered before. Bright blue skies loomed over us as the fresh air made its way through my lungs.

Beep Beep Beeeeep!

That sound of a car horn interrupted my peace and sanity. My head shot over to the light pink sports car. One that one person I knew would have...

We both stopped to stare at it as the fancy car door went upward. It reminded me of the one Jace had, and it looked so fascinating. A familiar face popped out of the car. "Dani!" Yelled Chanel. I screamed.

Of all people, she was the last I'd expect to see. "Chanel!" I ran over to her and we hugged as if we hadn't seen each other in years although it felt like it. "I missed you!" I said. We spun around a little as we hugged so tightly. "I saw your Barbie Dream Doll car and knew I couldn't expect anyone else!" Aloud, she laughed as we ended the hug.

"Get in! Let's do something!" My smile lessened a bit as I looked back over to where Rose stood.

"Um...I was actually planning on hanging out with her." Chanel frowned.

"Awww," Rose stood on the pavement patiently waiting for my return. "No! Can she come with? I stopped here on my way to Las Vegas so we could chill,"

"Okay, I'll ask her," I walked back to Rose.

"Who is she?"

"She's a friend, we're going to hang out. Wanna come?"
