Complicated plant with Feelings.
Name Alexander Burbank Age 18 (and a half) Gender Male Species Mutated human Etc He has plant powers.
Alexander was born in a big city. At a young age he had a rare blood disorder that prevented clotting and thinned his blood far more than it should be. He was very accident-prone and scared a lot of other children because he'd spontaneously bleed from various orifices with little to no aggravation. Most kids were creeped out, except for his step-sister Eloise. They were best buddies.
When he turned sixteen, his mother sent him to a boarding school at Alex's request, both thinking it'd be good for him, as he couldn't leave the house much when he was young due to his condition. The night he settled in, he invited his sister to his dorm for dinner, as a housewarming party of sorts. Her was not expecting Eloise's shitty boyfriend. When the aforementioned crap boyfriend hit Eloise, Alex jumped up from his seat and attacked, and then proceeded to be beat literally within an inch of his life.
Alex spent the next two years in and out of the hospital, often for surgery and therapy to get him stable enough to move on his own. He was then contacted by a corporation who were using plant substances to enhance human beings, and was especially eager to try this on Alex, thinking that the properties of Aloe-vera gel would help his blood disorder.
The tests worked a bit too well. By week three in the program Aloe could be cut and took up to thirty seconds to start bleeding. The treatment went haywire and caused him to grow actual aloe vera plants out of his head and arms and torso.
Aloe eventually escaped the facility, to escape further testing. He found himself barefoot in the dirt, and he was connected to the mycelial network of underground fungus. It drew away excess nutrients that caused so many plants to grow, and the aloe stalks disappeared, leaving few in his hairline and on his shoulder.
Aloe finds that the more he stays connected to the earth, the more he can manipulate plant life. Currently, he's trying to find ways to make this useful.
