After you escaped the abandoned workshop with Bendy in your arms, you raced straight forward, unsure of where to go since you weren't from this dimension.
Bendy kept on squirming in your hold, no matter what, which annoyed you. "Let go'a me!!" He shouted, stubbornly moving around like a cockroach on its back.
Once you thought you were a good distance away from the creepy building, you let out a sound of irritation and shrieked angrily, "Just stop! Stop it! Stop moving!!" You were just so done with this demon.
He took notice of how angry you were and stopped squirming, a little afraid of your temper. "I can't carry you properly if you wiggle around like that! It was difficult enough with that Inky situation, but you're making it even harder!!!" You ranted. Bendy stayed quiet, taking in all of your anger and leftover fear. "I was so fucking scared in there, ok?! You lived there your whole life so how could you have been scared of that, huh?! Please, just give me a—" You choked up, as tears rolled down your cheeks. "—break..."
The toon felt like a jerk, seeing your tears. "Hey... I'm, I'm real sorry, toots," he apologized softly. "We can siddown an' take a break, if ya want, ok?" He awkwardly pats your shoulder in an attempt to comfort you.
You tried to calm yourself down, hiccuping a few more times, as well as sniffling some. You wiped your tears with your wrists, as Bendy continued to pat your shoulder. He decided to alternate between patting and rubbing it, wondering if it was working or not.
"Sorry... Sorry I broke down out of the blue like that," you muttered in slight embarrassment, averting your eyes from Bendy's pie-cut ones.
The little demon flashes you a tiny grin. "Thas' alright, doll! Yer emotions shouldn't be bottled up like that. Just let it all out. I'm cool wit'dat," he told you, his voice carrying a carefree tone.
At that reply, you offer a small, grateful smile. "Thanks, Bendy," you said. The said toon's grin grew even bigger at that.
Continuing your way to wherever, you bit your bottom lip in deep thought. You absolutely had no idea where to go. You couldn't go back to the workshop now. Inky might be there in the first floor, waiting for your arrival, or he might not be, but that workshop is just far too dangerous. Speaking of Inky, how the hell did he fly to the end of the hallway and crash into the wall like he got pushed by some powerful force? You didn't even touch the guy!
Bendy suddenly spoke, snapping you out of your thoughts, "Wait a moment, darlin', why tha hell did ya bring me wit'ya anyway? That question's been hauntin' me ever since we stepped outta that workshop."
"I didn't want to leave you there," you admitted in embarrassment.
He guffawed, lightly slapping your shoulder a few times out of amusement. "Yer a riot, toots! Left me there or not, I'd still be dancin'!" He kept on laughing, ink-like tears escaping his eyes. "Ya really didn't hafta bring me along, y'know? I know 'dat place like tha back'o my hand!"
You paused in your steps, not knowing what to say. You didn't know why you just grabbed Bendy and made a run for it. Maybe it was because he was a little guy, and you didn't want him in the same place as Inky, where he could hurt him? But Inky never laid a hand on Bendy, even when he was charging at you two. He was only aiming for Bendy's and your joined hands. Why did you bring Bendy with you?
Bendy noted your immediate silence and impromptu stop. "(Y/n)?" Wow, it looked like he still remembered your name, despite him calling you all sorts of old timey nicknames. "It's all dandy shmandy wit'me, though! Don'worry 'bout it!" He tried to reassure you.
You looked like your brain was going to overheat, so he had to bring you out of your stupor. "(Y/n)!" He called your name again, snapping his fingers a bunch of times in front of your eyes. "Hey! Were ya even listenin' ta' me?" The gloss in your eyes faded, and you blinked multiple times, setting your sight on Bendy.
