Day six - Prompt: A day in the life

Time Period: Pretty early in the game.

A day as the heir's shield is not a walk in the park. That is unless prince Noctis has us walking through the park.

Lately we've been camping on a nightly basis. We all always look forward to Ignis's food each night.

My mornings start with an hour of training with Noct. It usually consists of jogging, occasionally racing, and sparring. I have accidentally busted Noct's lip at one point, which honestly got Noct worked up in the moment to give me a good few blows in return.

After training Iggy always makes us eat breakfast. Depending on how far our campsite is from an outpost, we either buy breakfast or have him make us something.

With morning's passing, we move to our hunts. Whether it's an honest bounty hunt, or just fetching Takka some groceries, it fills our currently dull lives.

Alright, our lives aren't so dull. But in comparison to the bigger task at hand - which at the moment we are not occupied with - life can seem a little drab.

We take our long trips in the Regalia. Ignis is our designated driver, but Noctis drives whenever Ignis allows him. Ignis absolutely hates driving at night. Daemons always seem to find us on the road. "The roads are perilous at night," he says, "let us wait 'til morning." Sometimes Noct is stubborn enough to say no and take over driving.

Off road, we ride our chocobos. Prompto loves chocobos with a passion. Sometimes we only need to walk a short distance, but he still begs Noct to whistle for the chocobos.

As the sun begins to set, we typically head back to the regalia and make our way to the nearest campsite. Sometimes we make camp a little early. Sometimes, due to Noct's stubbornness, we make camp an hour or so later than we should.

Time comes for the moment we anticipate all day. Ignis's meals. He takes his time to decide on what he would like to make, and whatever he settles on we always love.

Afterwords we look at all of Prompto's photos for the day. He takes pictures whenever he gets the chance. Sometimes he does it in battle, which makes us all a little mad. He always ends up getting hurt when he doesn't have to.

All in all, after a long day, all we crave is rest for our feet. Sitting down is great, but resting our whole body in our tents is the best. Good night's rest is the key to a great following day.
