Everybody sang in
unison and clapped along
once Seungmin
blew out the candles

Seungmin was happy.
He hadn't celebrated
his birthday in a long time
and even though this
was unplanned, he
was thoroughly enjoying
himself

"So...how many pieces
must this be cut into?"

Jisung asked, holding
the knife in a way it
shouldn't be held

"I'm gonna cut it
because I don't trust
you with knives"

Chan said, carefully
taking the sharp
item from him

"Felix said that he'll
be joining a little later.
He's bringing a friend
along too"

Woojin said, checking
his phone

"That's great! The
more the merrier"

"so that makes it
nine pieces. Damn it.
It's an odd number"

"JUST CUT THE
GODDAMN CAKE!"

"Whose birthday is
it by the way?"

Hyunjin asked as
Felix and him were
nearing their destination

"Oh, you'll find out.
He's a cute kid.
I guess you'll
like him"

Felix said,
whilst texting

"tell me his
name at least"

Hyunjin asked as
the two entered
the café

"there they are!
Hey guys!"

Felix yelled at
the group of boys

Hyunjin scanned the
group finding some
familiar faces like
Jisung, who worked
at the café, and his
boyfriend Minho

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY
SEUNGMIN!"

Felix yelled, that's
when hyunjin noticed
him sitting and smiling

Seungmin hadn't
noticed Hyunjin, yet

"Thanks Felix"

Right then, Seungmins
eyes met with Hyunjins.
Just the look of him
made Hyunjin smile

"for those of you
that don't know,
this is Hyunjin and
he's a good friend of mine"

Felix said, gesturing
towards the said male

"Happy Birthday
Seungmin"

Hyunjin said with
a soft smile

"Thanks Hyunjin"

Seungmin replied
with a bright tint of
pink covering his cheeks

"C'mon, have a seat"

Felix sat next to
Changbin. All the
seats were full so
Minho, who was
sitting next to Seungmin,
scooted a little so that
there was enough space
for another person on the sofa

"why don't you sit here"

Minho offered, earning
a glare from Seungmin
but he ignored it

Hyunjin sandwiched
himself between the two

Everybody was
chatting among themselves
except Hyunjin, who
felt like a wallflower.
So, Seungmin turned
to him in hopes of starting a conversation

"So...how'd it go
with your...boyfriend?"

Seungmin asked.
The question seemed
to make Hyunjin a
little uncomfortable

"we...um...
we broke up"

Hyunjin relied

Seungmin pretended
to be sad

"aaww that's sad.
Why? what happened?"

Hyunjin seemed
hesitant to reply
and Seungmin noticed

"okay, let's not talk
about that. Let's enjoy
this gathering for now"

He said

Seungmin had a
huge grin plastered
to his face

He knew he shouldn't
be, but he was very
happy that Hyunjin
broke up because
his boyfriend
because he was an
asshole

The two engaged
in small conversations
whilst talking to others as well

Hyunjin then
remembered
something

He took out a
piece of paper
from his pocket
and handed it to
Seungmin without
saying anything

Seungmin carefully
opened it as it was
a bit crumpled

It was a drawing

A drawing
of him

"oh my god, this
looks more like
me than me myself"

Seungmin said,
staring in awe

"i drew this whenever
I'd see you at the café
before we actually met"

Hyunjin said

Seungmin
hugged him
out of impulse

"Thank you sooo
much! I love it"

Hyunjin blushed
as he got a warm
feeling inside of
himself in Seungmins
embrace

He liked
being hugged

Especially by
Seungmin

Seungmin pulled
apart realizing
what hyunjin said

He drew it before
they met

It means that
Hyunjin has been
observing him for
a long time

Seungmin didn't think
much about it and
decided to enjoy his
time at the small gathering

“Also, you always
look gorgeous with
that lipstick”
