Where have you gone, child of wonder
Where is that glimmer in your young eyes?
That spoke of interest, of awe, of curiousity
One filled with the hunger for knowledgeWhere have you gone, child of wonder
Where did that lonely arduous journey take you?
Nirvana, knowledge, or perhaps awareness
You went on beyond the safety of innocenceWhere have you gone, child of wonder?
Have you discovered what it was you were looking for?
You did, but you saw something else too
The desolation, the imbalance, the sufferingWhere have you gone, child of wonder?
Which battles have you won and lost?
You realize war is without meaning and is loss
No reason to fight if fighting resolves nothingWhere have you gone, child of wonder?
Your eyes seem tired, would you like to rest?
Now you know wisdom just as you know pain and suffering
Do you see? Ignorance is a bliss, knowledge is a curse
