There are so much stories I could say that happened within that year, good and bad. I'm not going to lie, it wasn't easy that's for sure. Noah and I have been through a lot but I think that's what made us closer.
Before I continue I think I should go back and explain a few things.
After we agreed that we shouldn't be friends anymore we went on quite a few dates. Then he finally asked me to be his girlfriend. The way he asked me was sweet. He kept it small and intimate, which I liked. We did all the 'couple things' that you're 'suppose' to do. Like meeting each others parents, saying the I love yous, etc.
After being together all summer things were getting pretty serious. To be honest I thought we'd only be a summer fling, but we both went back to school and we just got stronger.
We were both going into senior year and we didn't go to the same school so I thought for sure with stress we would breakup. I was even preparing myself for it, I know it's stupid. Then before I knew it we were going to graduate and we were still together.
After we finished school we moved in together to a small but cosy apartment. I know that might sound sudden but we were practically living together anyway. The apartment is my aunts. She was going away for awhile and she needed someone to look after her apartment for her. So instead of being there alone Noah moved in with me. We've only been living together for a couple of weeks but so far everything is going good.
Right now Noah is 19, he turned 19 in May. I'm still 18, but I'm turning 19 in November. I have decided that I'm going to take a year off before I go back to studying and deciding my whole future without knowing it.
It's already August, I feel like everything has gone so fast. That's another reason why I don't want to go to collage just yet. If I go now before I know it I will be married with three kids. Sometimes I envy Noah a little bit. It seems like he has got it all figured out without having anything figured out, if that makes sense.
As I was just thinking away I suddenly felt a whole bunch of weight pounce on top of me. I turn around to see Noah laughing.
"Ha ha very funny." I say sarcastically.
"I'm sorry I couldn't help it. You just looked so focused I just had to do something." Noah said still laughing a little bit.
"You couldn't help yourself? You had to?" I questioned.
"Aw come on, you know you'd do the same thing." He pleaded.
"Okay I forgive you, but only because you look cute right now." I said.
"You think I look cute?" He said while raising his eyebrows at me.
I could feel a blush coming on as I let out a guilty smile.
Noah started leaning forward and planted a sweet but passionate kiss on what he likes to call "my berry soft lips". I always carry my berry Chapstick so my lips always taste like berries. I'm guessing my lips are soft as well.
He places his forehead to mine and stares into my eyes. Still to this day I find his eyes hypnotising.
A loud ringing interrupted our nice moment. I knew who it would be. Noah and I were meant to meet my sister for lunch. I must have lost track of time. I sadly pulled away and looked at my phone. My face scrunched up when I saw the time. It was only 12:15 pm. We were meant to meet for lunch at 1pm. Why was Vanessa calling? I guess there is only one way to find out.
"Hello?" I say curiously.
"Oh Laura, I'm so sorry but I got called into work at the last minute and I won't be able to make it to lunch." Vanessa continued to ramble on about how sorry she was and how there was nothing she could do about it.
"Vanessa." I try to cut her off but I was unsuccessful.
"VANESSA!" I practically scream.
"Yes, yes, what is it?" She says totally unaware that she had been rambling on.
"Vanessa it's okay, I understand you have to go to work. Noah and I will just go out and have lunch together." I say.
"Oh thank you for understanding Laura. Best sister ever!" She says before hanging up.
Noah just stared at me completely oblivious to what was going on.
I explained what happened and how we were just going out for lunch instead. His smile grew even bigger when he found out it was just going to be us.
"I'll go get dressed." He says while rushing off.
I laughed to myself. It was cute how eager he still was after a year. It was like he had been begging for months and I finally said yes or something.
We decided to walk to the restaurant since it was so close. As we were just about to enter the door there was a loud bang from across the street.
I looked over but at the same time I did that someone quickly ducked down. I thought I got a quick glance at who it was. "Could it be?" I thought to myself. No, I shook my head. I decided to ignore what I thought I saw. It was impossible it couldn't be them, could it?
"Laaarrruuuuaaaa!" Noah said while was tugging on my arm.
"Hmm?" I mumble while turning my head to face him.
"Are we going to go in or just stare across the road?" He asks.
"Oh right yeah, sorry lets go in." I said while blushing of embarrassment.
Noah basically pulled me inside.
"Shit." I heard him mumble under his breath.
I looked over to where he was looking and I knew exactly why he said what he did.
