Yesterday was when everything happened. Laura finding out about Noah, which reminds me, I still need to talk to him. The main thing that happened was Laura and I are, well I wouldn't say we were back together but we've definitely made progress. We've spend all of today talking in bed. It has been so good, catching up and just having her next to me again.
"What has been the best thing about touring?" She asks.
"Ooh that's a tough one." I state.
"Only one thing." She reminds me.
"Maybe being able to play music and preform every night. That has been awesome. No matter where we were, it didn't matter." I smile to myself thinking back on it.
Laura just smiles at me. She's smiled like this at me all the time. I don't know how to explain it but I love it. Like she almost feels the love I feel for whatever I'm talking about.
I connect our lips together. She's kissed me too many times. I think it's about time I returned some back to her. It wasn't a very long kiss but it still held a lot of passion. I pulled away and held Laura in my arms.
"So my parents are having this dinner tonight." I start off.
"I haven't really spent that much time with my family, well everyone's been off doing there own thing. That's why my parents are having this dinner tonight and I was wondering if you wanted to come?" I ramble.
"You don't have to if you don't want to. Everyone would love to see you again though and-" Laura cuts me off.
"I would love to go." She tells me.
"Cool, I'll let my mum know." I say excited.
Everyone is going to crowd Laura but I think she can handle it. I will tell my mum to tell them to be nice. She knows how that can get and I think she would understand me not wanting to put Laura through that. Rydel will be overjoyed to see Laura again and to find out we are, wait, I don't even know what we are.
"Laura?" I say.
"Yeah?" She responds.
"Just to get some things clear because my family will bombard us with questions. What exactly are we?" I ask her.
"Well at the moment I would say we are friends." She replies causally.
"Oh." I say sadly.
"Well yeah at the moment but I presume that we'll become more than friends soon. I wouldn't go date anyone else but I wouldn't say we were together because we only just started hanging out the other day." She explains.
"Yeah, hanging out." I laugh.
"Really?" She asks but I could hear a hint of joking in her voice.
We spent the rest of the day talking in bed. After hours of talking I felt like I still had more to say but we had to go to my house for dinner.
"Now, I haven't told anyone about me seeing you again besides from Rydel and my mum. I don't know how everyone will react to seeing you, so are you sure you'll be fine?" I ask while pulling up to my house.
"Yes, I'll be fine. I'm actually excited to see everyone again." Laura responds.
"Okay if you say so.." I say while getting out of the car.
Before I could make it around to Laura's side of the car she got out of the car.
"Sorry bet you to it." Laura laughs.
I look at her annoyed because she knows I like to do things like open doors for her.
"Hey I said sorry." She says while putting her hands up in surrender.
"Come on let's just go inside." I say while rolling my eyes playfully.
We walk up to the door and I knock on the door. We wait until someone answers. Finally Rydel opens the door. As soon as she sees Laura her face lights up.
"OH MY GOD, LAURA!" Rydel squeals and pulls her into a tight hug.
"It's good to see you too Rydel." Laura says struggling to breathe.
"Rydel I don't think Laura can breathe." I say trying to pull Rydel away.
"Oh sorry Laura, it's been too long!" Rydel practically screams.
I place my hands over my ears to tell Rydel she is being too loud.
"Sorry." Rydel whispers.
"Shall we go in?" I ask.
"I think we shall." Laura replies.
Rydel smiles at us before walking back inside.
"EVERYONE, ROSS IS HOME!" Rydel yells.
"How many times do I have to tell you not to yell." My mum, Stormie, tells Rydel while walking in.
"Laura, it's so good to see you!" My mum goes over and hugs Laura.
"You too." Laura replies.
Soon enough everyone comes down and greets Laura. Of course everyone was excited to see her but they weren't has bad as I thought. There was one person missing though, Rocky. Even Ratliff was here. So where was he?
"Hey where's Rocky?" I ask.
Riker looks up to the stairs and then smiles and points back up that way.
"What's with all the noise down.." Rocky starts but stops in his tracks when he sees Laura.
I look back at Laura and she is smiling but I know there is more to that smile. It doesn't meet her eyes.
"Oh hey Laura." Rocky says slowly.
"Hi." Laura says then does that uneasy smile again.
