Chapter Thirty One

It had been an hour and I still hadn't heard from Rocky or Ross. I'm sure he's fine but why isn't he answering? I knew he wasn't okay with Rocky and I. Maybe I should have told him back when it happened. Back then it wasn't important, I didn't think. I guess it's important now. I call Rocky back to see if he has heard anything.

"Rocky hey, have you heard anything?" I ask worried.

No, have you?" Rocky says completely calm.

"No, Rocky I'm really worried. What if he was angry and he does something stupid?" I say concerned.

"I'm sure he went to see a friend, clear his head and lost track of time. He'll be okay, we're probably worried about nothing." He reassures me.

"You mean I'm worried for nothing." I joke.

"I didn't want to say anything but.." He laughs.

"This happens all the time. Ross wonders off and forgets to tell everyone." Rocky tells me.

"Yeah but what you were talking about before he left, that could affect where he went." I say getting worried again.

"Laura, Ross is fine, trust me." Rocky speaks slowly.

"Mmm" Is all I mange to say.

"Do you want to come over and wait here so you don't have to be alone?" Rocky suggests.

I think for a bit if that was a god idea.

"Maybe we could use that time to talk. We can say it's not weird as much as we want but I think we should talk about what happened." Rocky says.

"Okay I'll be there soon." I say then I hang up.

I leave my place and start driving to the Lynch's house.

I park my car and I see that Ross' car still isn't there. I knock on the door and wait for someone to answer. Soon enough someone opens the door.

"Hey." Rocky greets.

"Hey." I greet back.

"Come in." He moves out the way and I walk in.

"Where is everyone?" I ask.

"They're all doing their own thing." He responds.

We both take a sit.

"So.." I say.

"So.." He says back.

"Do you have any questions?" I ask not knowing what to say.

This isn't a Q&A Laura." Rocky jokes.

"Sorry I didn't know what else to say." I apologise.

There is silence before Rocky talks.

"Actually I do have a question. Why did you say yes to Ross and ditch me on that Thursday?" Rocky asks.

"Well I didn't want to stay in something that would just end later. Ross liked me and actually wanted to be with me. Ross asked me if I wanted to come back to his house. I didn't know where to find you so I said yes. I still regret ditching you. I know I shouldn't of done that, I'm sorry." I ramble.

"You know I liked you, right?" Rocky asks.

"Well yeah but not seriously Rocky. Come on you have to admit that." I tell him.

"I guess you're right." He replies.

We continue talking and we start reminiscing about high school. Which causes us to start laughing, mainly me.

"You promise to never let things make us stop being friends again?" I ask Rocky.

"I promise." He assures me.

Like perfect timing Ross walks through the door.

"Laura?" Ross questions.

I go over and hug Ross so tight he couldn't let go.

"Uh Laura?" Ross repeats.

"Oh sorry." I apologise while pulling away.

Ross looks at me for an explanation of why I was here. All he did was leave for a couple of hours, nothing big to him.

"Rocky rang me asking if you were with me and I got worried when he said you left. I know it's silly but I though something might of happened to you." I explained to Ross.

"I'm fine, I just went to see Becca and N-" Ross immediately stops talking.

I stand back from Ross and look at him confuse and slightly annoyed. Ross looks up and Rocky.

"To catch up with her by myself." Ross finishes.

"So we're cool?" Rocky buts in.

"Yeah we're cool." Ross confirms.

Ross is keeping something from me and thinks that he can get Rocky to help him make me forget. Well he can think again. Who would he go see Becca with? Who's friends with Becca? I think for a bit. Wait, I know who's not just friends with Becca but in fact lives with her.

"Noah?" I say out loud in disbelief.
