"I know all about your type," I told him.

"Oh, really?" he replied while twirling a strand of my hair.

"Yeah, a self absorbed attention lover who breaks a girl's heart for the fun of it and never thinks twice about what you do," I answered. I stepped back and slapped his hand away. "You're the type of guy a girl like me doesn't date."

"Oh, really? So you would never date me?" he replied, laughing.

"Never. You can write all the songs you want about me, but I won't fall for your games," I told him.

But oh how wrong I was! Who am I? I'm just another girl who got her heart broken by a singer. Well I guess I should introduce myself.

Once upon a time, in a far, far away land, there was a teenage girl named Charlotte Ryan. Ok, so just about as far away as Fairhope , South Carolina is from where you are. My best friend is Hayley Michael and she's the one who dragged me to the show where I met him. I guess that's enough about me. I should start from that morning when it all began.

"Hey, Charlie!" Hayley yelled for my attention. “What are you doing this Saturday night?"

"I don't know, why? What are you trying to plan?"

"There's a concert with one of the best local bands around playing. Are you in?" she asked with a pleading face.

"I'll ask, but probably. It depends on what they sound like."

"Please, you'll enjoy getting out of the house and getting your nose out of a book for a night. Maybe you'll start coming to shows with me every weekend," Hayley joked.

I responded, "Yeah right, I am content with Frost as my main man," I winked as I nudged her arm. "Well, the bell is about to ring. So I'll catch you later?" Then I turned and rushed off to class.

Time seemed to fly by fast and soon, it was Saturday night. I met Hayley at the show. "Hey Hayley, are you ready for this show of the supposedly best local band?"

"Heck yeah, are you?" she asked excitedly.

"A bit, but mainly about getting out of this house and hanging out with you. Though don't expect this every Saturday," I warned her.

"I figured, but are you excited about seeing The Sell Outs?" she asked.

"Yeah, that C.D you loaned me of them wasn't that bad."

"Really? I love that album, but their newest one is supposed to be a lot better than that one. I'm going to get it tonight. I hope we can get their autographs!" she said, jumping around out of excitement.

I started giggling at her. "Calm down Hayley. It's not like they're so big they wouldn't sign your C.D."

"Thanks and stop laughing at me," Hayley said, pouting.

"Aw, but you were being so excitable it was weird in a cute-aw-kind-of-way," I told her fighting to keep a straight face. "Well, I better go find a table and snag it before it's too late, and we have to stand all night long."

"Ok, do you want to sit and wait for me while I get us waters and buy their album?" Hayley asked.

"I'll wait, but don't stop and flirt with a guy for too long and forget about me," I said jokingly.

"Would I ever do such a thing, Charlie?" Hayley said, pretending to be hurt.

"Yes, yes you would. You've done it before, more than a few times." I joked as I stuck my tongue out at her, sliding into one of the booths. "Go have fun without me."
