Love still has a tite grip on my wrist when I begin to see a faint skyline. There are no tall buildings spanning the horizon, small buildings and store fronts make up the spanning skyline.
We reach the quaint town by following a cobble path that crunches with every step. From far away it seemed quite and empty, but closer we became I noticed town folk crowding the streets.
Sounds of children shrieking, salesmen shouting, and bells of passing cattle fill my ears. I watch the people pass by. A woman carrying a child had eyes as green as green can be, a horde of children ran by and one had raven hair that seemed to be speckled with stars. A few moments later a man caches my eye, he is floating a foot above everyone. He is wearing a slick black suit and a blue tie. Now that I think about it, every one is warring modern clothes in a timely city.
He holds a rolled up newspaper tucked under his right arm and holds a steaming cup of something in his left. The floating man has his head tilled down and suddenly it jerks to the side. From the direction that he looked I saw a group of energized children run out from a crowd of civilians. I see him smirk and go back to walking peacefully, this time around the man in the suit walked with his head held up high.
I slowly came to a stop to turn to get the full scope of the small, quaint, bustleing city, with the aromas of fresh flowers and baked bread, and the sounds of joy, fill my veins. With the colors of the magnificent trees, rustic buildings, and abstract people, washing over my vision, I felt a sense of serenity.
A weak "Like what you see?" mixed with a small amount of humor, quickly tugged my attention, only for a quick second.
"What-what is this place?" I respond, not looking over to see who inquired.
"A utopia, well, not really a utopia, but a nice place where everyone is treated equally. We are in a place where we are free."
I nod, satisfied with what complexity of an answer I got. Truthfully I barely held on the a words. I was to astonished with my surroundings.
"Free to do what?" I inquired breathlessly."Enjoy having gift, enjoy not to hide it the way that the normal humans want us to, not to be killed on sight."
We walk farther into the bustleing quaint town until we reach a modern white building... well sorta white due vines growing from the smallest crack to the biggest wall.
"Avery!" A short blonde came running out of the magnificent building. She was holding a cup of coffee. I can tell it is coffee that. She is holding but the aroma that fills my nose with the pleasant bitterness of the warm drink.
"Kate!"
"Whos Avery?" I ask looking over my shoulder to try to see who this blonde was looking for. I only saw the strangest thing, Karen smiling. The notion was short lived, Karen collapsed instantly the moment I open my mouth to ask if she needs a chair, she was looking pretty white and also, who is Avery.
"Again! I cannot deal with this any longer" sighed and screamed the short blonde and the cup of coffee vanished. She started to walk fast back and fourth.
