Mr. Valinchie seemed to fall for my pathetic excuse! How dumb can someone be. I thought Nat was the dumbest. I guess I thought wrong. " I want to ask you a few things, make sure you where not cheating on this test. You are constantly looking at Nat so I can only assume you are cheating." Mr. Valinchie stated. "Okay?" I say skeptically.
"What is faster, the speed of light or the speed of gravity?" Mr. Valinchie asked I replied" They are completely equal, and they both travel in waves." Very good young Jack, how did you know?" Truthfully I did not know. How did I know this? It just came into my mind. I better hope this is normal.
"I ... saw... it on a webpage, to study for the test, got distracted. I love physics!" The words stumbled out of my mouth forming a sentence. The sentence may have been mostly false, but I just seem to know things in physics much more in life science or neuroscience or doctoral science, all the other sicentific science.
"Good job, one more." My thoughts are rudely disrupted when Mr. Valinchie speaks. "How long is DNA in one nucleus?"Ping, the answer was in my head in an instant. "Six feet, that was the bonus question on the test. Everyone knows that" I respond, annoyed. "I reassure you not", Mr. Valinchie said. "Oh", I mumble. Why does this happen to me? I just made my my skin that was freshly raw heal in an instant, I can easily persuade people, and I know random things. I have no idea where I learned this information.
When I snapped out of my thoughts Mr. Valinchie was waving his hand inches away from my face. "Jack..." Mr. Valinchie was sighing.
"Sorry, I got caught in thoughts." "No, no, no, don't apologize, I understand getting lost in ..." a cold breeze cut Mr. Valinchie off. I shivered. "Ah, yes. You are no fan of the cold Jack. Lets get you inside."
As Mr. Valinchie disappeared behind the door I realized that I did not shiver because of the cold, but because the comfortable warmth that flowed through me.
