Jack swayed on his feet for a moment the crumpled to the ground. My fist throbbed from the sudden impact of jaw. I look to Nat. Nat has his eyes wide and jaw drop. "Y-you killed him!" He said with a quiver. "That, that is a exaggeration." I placed my good hand on my hip and rolled my eyes. "I did not kill him. Simply made him shut up unwillingly. He will not come so I resort in a different way."
Nat looked around. "The police officers are on the ground, and Jack is dead. No way am I trusting you."
I look at him dead in the eye. "Your mistake." And swing my fist.
My fist connects with his temple and I hear a grunt. Nat falls face down into the dirt. I make a slow attempt to catch him. Too slow. I can tell his nose was broken from the crunch that came from his fallen body. All I need to do is to transfer there bodies to the forest, fun. I look around. The cops lay motionless like Jack and Nat. "Urg" I scream. The anger of today has boiled up completely. I never wanted to retrieve Jack, nor did I want to be bit by a bear nor have to carry to boys into a forest.
I wonder for a moment if is should call for backup. Perhaps they can send Ty and June to do the lifting. I reach for my back pocket to get the buzz. I feel around. Not in that pocket, I check the other pocket. Not there. Huh. Probably fell out. I continue to look around when I get the thought of dragging them there. I look at a sprawled out Jack and walk over. My feet crunch the leaves underneath. The whole scene was serene. The world was quiet. The pain died down and the sorrows were gone.
I grab the right foot of Jack and begin to drang him across the forest floor the best I can with one arm. I realize that he is probably getting cut by the twigs and I stop. I summon the Gift I was born with, the ability to control science. I allow gravity around Jack and I to lessen, soon we began to float. I will the winds to push us over the forest, leaving Nat behind.
I close my eyes and gather my thoughts, empty. A empty basin, a soulless body, a weakness and strength, pain but plane. "To all the ones who cannot."
I see the words dance around my vision. The sky opens up. Meridia, home.
