Jīvitaya wakes up slowly, with her mind in a peaceful state, if only for a short while. She slides her legs off the bed, and when no pain arises, she touches them to the floor. Nothing. With a great deal of care, she slowly pushes herself off the bed. As she pushes off, her arms shriek with pain, but the moment the weight is off them, it's gone again. For a single moment, she sighs with relief. Then her legs give way, and she falls to the floor with a thump. Almost immediately after she hits the floor, her legs begin to blaze in unrelenting agony. Tears run down her face as she tries desperately to figure out what happened. The sound of pounding feet from the hallway grows louder and louder, until someone rushes into the room. Jīvitaya tenses momentarily, before the memories come rushing back. It's the boy who saved her. He sees her on the floor and strides over, kneeling down before her to stretch out his arms. She takes them gratefully and pushes herself upwards, her legs wobbling and screaming in pain.

He gently backs her up until she sits back up onto the bed and then he steps back out for a moment, returning with an object that looked like a pile of opaque glass. What in the world was it? He moves his hands to the side and pulls outward. It folds out to become a - floating chair? He holds out his hand to Jīvitaya and pulls her off the bed, leading her over to the chair-thing to sit her down. She sits down carefully and as she does, the armrest of the chair lights up. She looks down at it and sees unintelligible writing. Seeing her confusion, the boy presses one holographic button and handles come out from the back. He pushes her down the hallway and into a spacious room, surrounded by floor to ceiling windows on its curved side. He pushes her over to a table before stopping the chair and going to sit down on the other side of it.

"Why did you try to stand up? You've spread the venom more."

"How was I supposed to know that? I thought it was just in my arms, not my entire body!"

"Some of the venom reached your heart and so it has been circulated through your entire body. You standing up has just pushed more of it into your heart. You need to stay in the levik for a while."

"The what?"

"The levik. It's similar to a wheelchair on Earth, except the levik is more electrical and it doesn't need wheels. It isn't hard to use, but I can show you how."

"I don't even know what the words are saying!"

The boy stands up to help her but as he does so, Jīvitaya taps on her wrist, making the chip spit out molecules to make a tablet. She taps on the tablet a couple of times, causing it to release tendrils that snake towards the chair and latch onto the armrest. The armrest flashes for a moment before the holographic writing rearranges itself. The alien boy moves closer to look at it before squinting at the writing.

"What did you do?" he asks.

"I reprogrammed it so it was in a language I understood, why?"

"How did you even know how to do that when you've never even encountered a levik before?"

"It just comes to me naturally, I guess. I've always been good with technology."

He looks thoughtful for a moment before shaking himself out of it.

"So, let's introduce ourselves. I'm Prince Kysanden, but the Selemat King, my father, is probably very angry at me right now for helping you escape. He's the one who ordered them to take you. Because I helped you, he might take my title, I don't really care. You can call me Kys."

Jīvitaya just stares for a second or two, astonished by all the information he just revealed.

"My name is Jīvitaya Rai Naji. As you already know, I thought I was a human. That's about it, unless you want to know my hobbies."

Kysanden smiles. "I'm going to call you Jīa, if that's ok?"

"Umm- sure. Can you tell me where we are going now?"

"I would take you back down to Earth so you can collect your things, but I don't think that's a safe, or even viable option right now. However, I do know of a planet in this galaxy where we should be able to get you everything you need. It also might have the possibility of being where you are from, as the people there are very similar to humans."

"What is the planet's name?"

"Mior."
