Chapter 1

Danny's POV

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock ringing, the sounds pierced my ears like small daggers making me groan in annoyance and stand up to turn the alarm off "first day of school" I tell myself, my sleepy tone of voice hiding how excited I actually was. I walk downstairs rubbing my eyes, I look at the time on my phone and gasp "SHIT IM GONNA BE LATE" I quickly run out my house and start running to school, by the time I arrive I'm sweating and panting like I had just ran a marathon. Some guy went up to me "hey are you ok?" I nod slightly "y-yeah, I'm new.. just ran too fast.. didn't wanna be late" the guy laughed "oh ok new kid, I'm Dylan" he told me smiling "you're not late, first classes start in ten minutes" I nod relieved "thanks Dylan" I say to the slightly younger looking male "no problem, now let me show you around" Dylan offered, I nod slightly and follow Dylan as he began walking around the school showing me the classrooms and lockers, Dylan stopped waking "so yeah that's our school, if you want you can hangout with me and my friends at lunch" I nod smiling "ok thank you so much Dylan" the bell then rang and I went to my first class

After classes I went to the lunch hall and looked for Dylan, I saw him and a group of other people and I went over "hey" I say, Dylan smiled "hey! Guys this is Danny, Danny this is Matt and Jordon" the other two boys nod "hey" Matt said running a hand through his curly hair. Jordon just smiled at me then went back to eating. I sat down. Matt looked at Dylan "did you tell him the lunch rules yet?" I look at Matt "uh lunch rules?" I repeat my confusion clear in my tone of voice. Jordon nodded "yeah, see this lunch hall is a fucking group war, we luckily aren't in the middle of anything, we ain't dumb rejects but we ain't popular,  oh and thank fuck none of us know anyone from another group!" I just blink "group..?" I ask finding it hard to keep up with all the information.  Matt then continued for Jordon "yeah, ok, so get lunch after all the hot girls and guys mk" I nod slightly "oh and whatever you do.. stay away from Decker and his friends" I look at Matt "who?" Dylan then spoke "oh they're a bunch of weirdos, they never go to class, and they supposedly brake the law and stuff, also they don't care about the lunch order, let's see, there's Aron, George, Jeff, and oh boy Jorel is the worst of them, he was suspended for a month because he broke a girl's leg"
I felt scared but nod "well I- shit I need to get a book for my next lesson" I began leaving the lunch hall but bump into a kid wearing a black hoodie, he fell down and glared at me. I look back at him "oh s-sorry.." I quickly look around and see the whole hall looking at me with a mix of pity and fear in their eyes, I look back and see the same boy walking closer to me, another skinny boy was near him "get him Jorel!" The boy yelled, I looked back at the kid in the hoodie with fear as he ran at me.. I then realised that Jorel was ready to fight...
