An unexpected turn

'It's Lady Gryffindor-Ravenclaw to you Weasley. Same for you Granger.' I snarled and with that I stalked off, my nose high in the air but as soon as I turned the corner I fell to my knees and burst into tears. 'You alright?' I heard a voice say.

Your POV

'You alright?' asked a voice. 'Potter, I already told you-' but as I lifted my head instead of seeing Harry I saw 'Draco!' I said, flinging my arms around his neck. 'Come on, a beautiful girl like you shouldn't be crying, come with me.' Draco stood up and offered his hand, I took it and he helped me up. I hugged him and cried into his shoulder. Draco stroked my hair, slowly calming me down. 'What's the issue?' 'Potter' I cried into Draco's shoulder. 'Come with me and I promise you won't be hurt.' 'R-r-really?' I asked. Draco smiled at me, nodded and said 'Really.' Draco took my hand which took me by surprise but I held onto it. He smiled at me and lead me down into the dungeons. 'But isn't this Slytherin Common Room?' I asked. 'Yeah. Pura ' and the portrait hole opened, we crawled through the portrait hole and Draco indicated for me to sit on one of the leather black couches. 'Your passwords Pure? That's a bit stupid Draco.' I said with a little chuckle. 'How so?' he asked. 'If you are a Hogwarts student, like me, and if you have studied Latin, like me and you know that Salazar Slytherin mostly favoured pure-bloods but rarely accepted others. Having the latin word Pura is a bit stupid. I'd change it to something ridiculous like- I don't know eritque arcus unicornis or something like that.' I said laughing. 'And what does  eritque arcus unicornis mean?' asked Draco. 'Rainbow Unicorn.' I said, laughing. We both double over laughing.

30 minute time skip   

'You know what Draco?' I said, after we both calmed down. 'What Lady (y/n)?' 'Well, I thought you were a bit of a git and a pain in the ass like Hermione, Ron and Harry said but you're actually a nice guy. You're an awesome guy who cares about me. I mean I said I was cold and you gave me your muggle hoodie that says "I am not sorry that I am way too awesome for you" It's the best I've ever seen!' I exclaimed. 'Really?' said Draco blushing. 'Of course you idiot!' I said, playfully punching him. 'And stop it with the Lady (y/n) bullshit. You now have to call me (n/n) or else Malfoy!' I said, playfully. 'Sure.' I checked my watch. 'It's 6 we better go out for dinner Draco.' 'Let me finish this letter to Father.' said Draco, a green and black quill between his teeth,  blue ink dribbling down his chin 'Let me see that.' I said peering over his shoulder.

Dear Father,

The first week at Hogwarts has been okay. Harry Potter did not accept my friendship but I finally met Lady (y/n) Gryffindor-Ravenclaw and she is more beautiful than I could've ever imagined. She is very kind and looks out for everyone else. But today was my turn to look after her. I found her crying in one of the corners and helped her out and have given her my Muggle jumper. She's the most hilarious person I've ever met. She's intelligent as well. 

'That's so nice Draco.' I said, hugging him. 'May I write something on the bottom?' 'Sure. Let me sign it on the bottom.'

Dearest Mr Malfoy,

My name is Lady (y/n) Gryffindor-Ravenclaw. I'd hazard a guess you know me and who I am. Brief overview: Girl who lived, heir to Godric Gryffindor and Rowena Ravenclaw, royalty. You get the gist. I'll be honest with you Mr Malfoy, I was the slightest bit rude to your son but he has recently made me see that he is awesome and can cheer anyone up. He is hilarious and overall a good person. I cannot wait to meet you, sir. Draco speaks very highly of you.
