Christmas Part 1

It was Saturday which meant no school which means more time with my dumb friends. I got into a pair of trackpants and a loose shirt. They looked a bit like pyjamas but who really cares on weekends? I know I should be setting a standard considering I'm Lady Gryffindor-Ravenclaw but meh.

I walked down into the Common Room and warmed myself up next to the fire. "Well, it looks like someone is up bright and early. Ready for a day of excitement?" asked Harry. "You mean ready for a day of me telling you off and lecturing you about how irresponsible and stupid you can be?" "Exactly that." said Harry, hugging me. "Oh, I am interrupting something. Should I go back upstairs or-" asked Ron. "Oh, you are so immature Ron. Harry and I were just sharing a friendly hug, weren't we Harry?" "Y-y-yeah. A nice friendly hug." "Well, that's not what your cheeks say." said Hermione, sitting down on the chair next to the fire. "Oi! You know that chair is practically mine, Hermione! Get off!" I said, wrestling her. "Not until you admit that you love Harry!" said Hermione laughing. I managed to push her off my chair and adjusted myself into the perfect position. Suddenly a white owl swooped in. "Oooh, personal mail today. Who's it for?" asked Ron. The small owl softly landed on the arm rest next to me.

"Looks like it's for (n/n). Well go on then, read it out!" insisted Ron. "Sheesh, Ron. If you continue like that I will not read it." "Alright." he replied, looking despondent. "I'm only joking, you idiot." "Let's hear what it has to say!" said Hermione, enthusiastically, adjusting herself on the couch because she finally moved off of my chair. I started reading the letter out loud.

"First of all your highness, merry Christmas! I do wish that you will be enjoying your Christmas with some friends you have made at Hogwarts. I have also been informed that Harry Potter is in your year. Apparently he is quite friendly so try and make sure you're friends with him. It's always good to have nice people around, no matter how much wizard blood they have in them from Muggle-Born to Pure-Bloods, even Blood-Traitors. Now onto more pressing matters. It has been over 11 years since a Christmas ball has been held. It has always been held by your family and never anyone else. Some people believe that you are too young for this but I say you are not. Since you are 11 years old and you have been accepted into Hogwarts and you know basic spells, I believe you are fit to host the ball. In order to do this you need to create a guest list. There is already one attached. It is the one that has been passed down in your family since Rowena Ravenclaw held the first Christmas ball. I do hope that some new families will be invited but please do send me owl to check with me first. Have a happy Christmas, a wonderful New Year and a magical year at Hogwarts, yours sincerely Cornelius Fudge."

"Woah, you got letter from Fudge himself! That's so cool!" "Get me the owl treats will you Harry?" Harry nodded and ran up the stairs to get a packet of owl treats. Hermione lowered her voice to a whisper so that no-one else could hear. "Why does the Minister of Magic want you to become closer to Harry?" "Probably so that he can claim two famous wizards know each other very well and then he'll put us on the spot or whatever. Something to do with politics probably." I said simply, shrugging my shoulders. "Here you go (y/n)." "Thanks Hazza." "Hazza?" said Ron. "It's a stupid nickname (y/n) made up, probably when she was trying to fall asleep last night but couldn't because she was too busy thinking about how adorable Harry is." "HERMIONE JEAN GRANGER! I DID NOTHING OF THE SORT!" "Whatever." She just rolled her eyes. "You don''t like it do you Harry?" I asked. He just shook his head. "That's alright then I'll just stick with Harry then."

"So let's see the list then. Come on, come on, take it out." urged Ron. "Well it looks like it's mainly pureblood Zabini, Potter, Malfoy-" read out Hermione. "Hang on why isn't-

Ah, left you at a cliffhanger. I am so sorry that I haven't published in over six months! I'm doing it in parts because ideas are coming to me but they aren't suiting the chapter (if you know what I mean). But anyway, thank you for those to have been faithful to this book. I am always open to suggestions so please comment, I am still trying to write up some chapters which means I could maybe post one a week, I don't know. So, if you have any suggestions, please comment down below or dm me! I really need it. Thank you for reading.
