I didn't even think to look at the caller ID once my phone rang "Sam?!"
"It's me again," Dean said on the other end "Any chance you've heard from him?"
I sighed "No and neither JARVIS nor the Professor are able to locate him,"
"I swear, it's like looking for my dad all over again. I'm losing my mind here,"
I bit my lip "have you tried calling him?"
"I've called him a thousand times, there's nothing but voicemail. I don't know where he went, or why. Sam's just gone,"
I heard Dean's cell phone beep on the other end.
"Hang on," Dean said before hanging up.
I sighed as I put my cell phone down. "I'm going out for a drink," I noticed Tony perk up "alone,"
"Now you're just teasing me," Tony pouted
"Nat," I called out
"Yep," Natasha stood up and went over to Tony.
"Ok, I'm done," Tony said as he backed off.
I smirked as I headed into the elevator.

I knocked down another shot.
"Can I buy you a drink?"
I turned around "Sam, how'd you find me?"
"Well, I guess I'm full of surprises. So can I get a beer?"
"Sure. One beer,"
Sam raised his hand and the bartender brought over two beers. As Sam took off his jacket, I noticed a circular burn mark with a short line through it on Sam's forearm. "That looks like it hurts,"
"No. Nah, just, just had a run in with a hot stove,"
"Hmm," I hummed as I downed another sip of the beer. "Where's Dean? Would have figured he'd have you on a leash,"
"Must have missed him," Sam laughed a little "Boy. You're really carrying a torch for him, aren't you?"
I scoffed "Is that what this was all about?! You figured that after our night, that I carried a torch for your brother! And here I thought Stanford boys were smart,"
"It's too bad." Sam smiled tightly "'Cause see, Dean, he likes you, sure, but not in the way you'd want. I mean...romance, that's just out of the question, he..." Sam laughed "he kind of thinks you're a schoolgirl, you know?" he looked over at me "I'm not trying to hurt you, KC, I...I'm telling you 'cause I care,"
"That's really kind of you, Sam,"
"I mean it." Sam placed a hand over mine on the bar, suggestively, possessively "I care about you a lot,"
"Sam, what's going on?"
"I can be more to you, Kat,"
"How much have you had to drink? Maybe once you've sobered up you'll remember...I've got to go use the loo..."
"Okay," Sam shoved my hand away as I stood to leave; I turned towards the door and left. Once outside I leaned against the wall heavily.
I took out my cell phone about to dial Dean when Sam reappeared, grabbing me from behind. "Sam, get off me! Sam! Get off me! Let go!" I closed my right hand into a fist, but before I could hit him he grabbed my wrist.
"Kat, Kat, Kat," Sam shoved me around I faced the brick wall and pinned me there, left hand over my wrist, right hand stroking my hair.
"Sam, no!" I screamed "No! Please! Please!"
Sam slammed my forehead into the wall; he lifted me carefully, stroking my hair in a disturbingly gentle manner. "It didn't have to be this way. Maybe it did," the last thing I saw was Sam's evil grin, before succumbing to the darkness.
