I write my poems on yellow pages
to say I'm still okay.
I write my words in a straight line
on white paper with ink as dark as the shadows of the night
so I could read them easier in the mornings
Sometimes my pages are soaked in tears
and the ink gets blurry and almost unable to read,
They reflect the poems on the paper
which are as sharp as thorns too.
So now I write my poems on yellow pages
to say I'm still okay.
