It's early in the a.m. and I'm
standing on this balcony.
Close enough to the edge that
I find myself thinking about ending it all.
Because what is this life for if
the only thing stopping me from livivng
is my own fear of the unknown.
But then, in the smallest of moments,
I see the part of you which I love the most-
your hands and that tiny smile you have after my jokes,
most importantly, the sound of your laughter,
as dry as it happens to be,
runs tiny cricles in the right side of my head.
So I take a step back from the edge tonight,
I'll have to thank you for that.
I'm not as close to the end anymore
but who knows what'll happen tommorrow
and the day after that.
