"Come on, Hals. Share the bathroom. I have to get ready too." Isaac groans. I hurriedly put my leggings on and my white off the shoulder ribbed long sleeve and open the door for him. The shower I took has steamed up the mirror so I have to use my towel to dry it. "Jesus, why is it so hot in here?" He whines. I just laugh and take myself back to my room to sit at my dresser and get ready. I do my makeup soft and innocently in hopes that if something does get out, I'll look too cute to mess with. I leave my wet hair on my shoulders knowing that the hair will curl naturally through the day. I pull on some tan wedges and my outfit is complete.

"You look beautiful baby." My mom hugs me bye as she is leaving for work. I look in the fridge for some fruit.

"I ate your fruit last night. I'll get some on my way home." Dad says as he is walking out to his car. Great, so that means no breakfast.

"I'll be in the truck, Isaac. Hurry." I tell him as he sits down to drink his protein shake and eat some eggs and toast. My stomach grumbles. I sit in the truck with my earbuds in listening to Solo by Demi Lovato and Clean Bandit. Isaac drives us and parks us at the front of the parking lot where are spot is and my heart rate increases.

"You'll be fine. Come on." Isaac urges, sensing my unease.

"Haley! I didn't see you at the party anymore. Did you have fun?" Camila appears next to me. Isaac snorts.

"No, actually, I didn't because you ditched me like you said you wouldn't and I fucked up." I snap at her. Her cheerful face falls but I can't be bothered. I stomp off to my first leaving her calling for me. I'm so angry that I don't watch as I am rounding a corner and I run face first into someone.

"Easy there." The person says, holding me so that I don't fall. A strong scent fills my nostrils that is oddly familiar but I can't place it. I look up to meet deep hazel eyes.

"Sorry," I mumble, looking down at my feet.

"It's no problem. I've been a little out of it today." Shawn admits.

"You and me both." I laugh, feeling the tension ease.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Shawn offers with a gentle smile.

"I don't even know what it is, to be honest. What about you?" I sigh.

"I probably shouldn't be talking about this with someone so innocent." He laughs darkly. I can't help but be curious now. We stand there for a few silent moments before I speak up.

"I should... uh... I should go." I mutter.

"Yeah, me too." He smiles.

"See you later." Why the hell would I say that as if I am okay with seeing him later?

"Later, Haley." He grins and walks away. Why am I feeling so giddy? I try to ignore the feeling through first and it works fine but I am dreading my second period with Camila. I am still so mad at her.

"Please, Haley. Just talk to me. I want to make this right. You are my best friend." Camila begs when I get up to move away from her after she sits next to me.

"You promised and you left me." I glare ahead, not looking at her sad brown eyes.

"I know and I'm sorry. I thought I would help Abby with her first party as a cheerleader and I was going to come right back but I got distracted but I knew you would be fine. I know you would never do anything stupid." She tries to reason, but the tears still come to my eyes. One slips down my cheek as I speak.

"But I did."

"What?" She asks.

"I did do something stupid and you weren't there to help me." I wipe my eye pathetically.
