Niall’s POV

Oh Jesus, I’d managed all day, ALL DAY to keep my mouth shut and not say anything stupid. Of course I’d just messed it all up two damn minutes before she was about to go to bed...

Every damn day she’s here is another day I find myself just wanting to be closer to her. Brittnee has this smile that literally makes my heart beat ten times faster and my palms sweat, the only thing I can do when I’m around her is smile.

We constantly make small talk about things we’re interested in like her track events and how she wishes she’d learned to play piano like her sister, but she detests singing, she refused to sing for me but she insists she sounds like punctured bagpipes…

Brittnee was normal, it wasn’t just that she treated me like I was an actual person instead of some pop star robot type thingy but she was so down to earth too, not the high maintenance, see-me type… Just an all around amazing girl to be around.

“What did you say…?” She said quietly snapping me out of all my thoughts. Hannah and Liam are going to kill me, skin me alive and throw me into a ditch. I’m sure they’ll make it as painful as possible…

“I said kiss me.” I responded a little more sure of myself. I slowly took a few steps forward towards her, she didn’t move… just stayed exactly where she was.

When I’d finally closed the space between us I reached up and cupped her cheek softly with my hand, our faces only an inch away from each other at the most. I looked into her gorgeous blue eyes, trying to figure out what she was thinking.

She was biting her bottom lip softly; her eyes flickered from my own to my lips. I wondered if she wanted this as badly as I did, and if she knew how wrong it was… how many problems it would cause.

“Is this okay?” I whispered as I moved even closer to her, my lips brushing against hers as I spoke. She didn’t say anything; she just nodded slowly and closed the final centimeters between us.

As soon as our lips met I felt those clichéd sparks shoot through my entire body, she immediately responded, moving her lips against mine. My hand that wasn’t on her cheek went straight to the small of her back; her’s tangled themselves in my hair.

I felt her tongue run across my bottom lip and I had to resist the urge to groan as I pulled away from the kiss. A look of hurt flashed across her face and her cheeks turned bright red.

“Did I do something wrong?” She asked quietly.

“No, of course not.” I shook my head fiercely.

“Then why’d you…” Her voice trailed off towards the end.

“I just don’t want to go too fast, we have plenty of time…” I smiled softly and kissed the tip of her small nose.

          “There’s no such thing.”

“What do you mean?” I questioned confusedly.

“There’s no such thing as plenty of time, shit happens…” She shrugged once.

“Don’t be so cynical babe.” I chuckled lightly.

“I’m not cynical I just have more of a ‘live life for the moment’ kind of attitude.” She smirked and skipped over to her bed.

“I guess that’s a good way to go about things.”

“Oh I know, I’m a genius.” She yawned as she sprawled out over the entire bed.

“I beg to differ.” I teased as I sat on the small corner she wasn’t covering with some part of her petite body.

          “Rude.” She pouted.

“Just kidding Bee, I know of your above average intelligence.” I held out my arms and she crawled across the bed into them.

“Why do you have to be so perfect?” She muttered quietly.

“Babe I’m far from it.” I pulled back slightly and tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear.

“But you really are though, you’re so sweet and you’re Irish and you’re gorgeous and you’re funny and you’re just… perfect.”

“I’m just me.” I mumbled embarrassed. I’m used to the random compliments but when Brittnee said all of it; it gave me that awful jittery feeling in my stomach and made my heart beat faster.

“There’s no just about you. You’re Niall freaking Horan; you’re in the world’s most famous boy band… I’m just me.”

“Here’s the deal Bee… In these last two years everyone’s come to know me as Niall Horan the blonde Irish kid from One Direction. Of course I’m so proud of everything me and the lads have done but I’m actually my own person… I’m still just Niall. And I don’t have a problem with that, I love being me… I’m a carefree mofo just loving life. And you’re you and you’re perfect just the way you are…”

“You don’t even know me.” She smirked slightly.

“I know that you’re quite sassy, you’re good fun to hang out with… I know that I like to be around you. What else is there to know?” I asked as she absentmindedly played with the fingers of my right hand.

“There’s tons of stuff we still have to learn about each other.” She looked up at me from underneath her long eyelashes.

“Well, Liam and Hannah aren’t going to be back for another week so I guess we have loads of time to learn all about each other.” I flashed her a cheeky smile and she grinned back.

          “I’m looking forward to it.”

          “Me too babe, me too.”
