"I don't understand why we are having such a hard time here." Jack thought to himself. "It was supposed to be a whole new start for us here... and we had to ruin it..." He finished his thought before deciding to go back up to his dorm and do his homework instead of actually going to class.
He was almost to his dorm when he suddenly felt his foot on something. Jack looked down and saw his foot stuck in a tree on the castle grounds. "I swear..." He grumbled under his breath. "Why is it always me?..."
Jack felt a tap on his shoulder and turned and saw a short, thin girl hovering right behind him. She had the darkest shade of red hair tied into a braid, like the flames of a campfire or Ash's flames. When he looked into her eyes, he was met with chocolate brown eyes that seemed as if they were filled with kindness. "Hey, I see you are stuck. Do you find yourself needing some help?" The mysterious girl asked with a handout. Jack took it and worked his leg free of the branch. "I find myself getting stuck there all the time even though I have been going here since my freshman year." The girl would give him a slight smile. "I'm Athena Kage by the way. I am assuming that you are Jack Reaper, correct?" He would nod before responding.
"Please don't be like the rest of those girls that freak out. I don't think I can handle another one of them..." He would trail off.
"Oh, no. I saw you and your brother getting in that fight at lunch and felt bad due to all the people surrounding that dome that you created which, might I add, was pretty damn impressive." Athena now had a big welcoming grin on her face.
"Thank you for that. I'm still not the best with the powers but I guess it's a start." He would begin. "It wasn't too bad compared to our house at the moment..."
"Oh, If you don't mind me asking, what happened to your house?" she said, her eyes burning with curiosity. "You don't have to tell me if you don't feel the need to."
"It's perfectly fine. I guess people will find out anyway since we are the whole 'new cool kids'." Athena would chuckle before Jack went on with his story. "Ash and I, we kinda got into a fight and destroyed the house." He tried to explain what had happened, keeping it as simple as possible.
"Oh. I can't imagine getting kicked out of the house because I destroyed it, Of course, my parents are dead, but uh..." Shed trail off thinking about her deceased parents. Afterward, she'd come to. "Sorry, I uh..."
Jack smiled kindly at the poor girl before apologizing. "I'm so sorry..."
"Oh! Don't be" Shed try to lighten the mood. "My flames got out of control one day and I didn't notice them right there and well... They weren't all that lucky that day..." She'd force her smile to return. "But, it's totally fine. I don't even notice them not here..." Her eyes would give away the fact that she had been lying to him.
He would go into a daze remembering something from his own childhood before responding, "Yeah. I totally get that... We had something happen when we were little... We had a puppy named Spot... Yeah, I know. Such an original name," He would shrug his shoulders. "Ash kinda sorta caught the house on fire and I wasn't fast enough to save Spot. But he's in puppy dog heaven now I guess."
Shed giggle. "Nice to know I'm not alone. Thought I was the only one to accidentally kill something or someone in a fire... I guess it's a more common thing that I would have thought it to be."
"It really is when someone doesn't know how to control their own powers." He would smile at her before remembering what he was doing. "Oh yeah! I forgot! I was on my way to finishing up some homework"
"Oh! Well, um, don't let me stop you." She'd giggle out of embarrassment. "I guess I'll see you around then?" she said raising her shoulders up in a shrugging manner.
"Yeah! See you around. You should really meet Ash at some point. I think you two would get along great." He would flash his signature smile before flying off again.
Shed cup her hands around her mouth to make the sound of her voice travel farther. "Yea! Maybe I'll bump into him! Thanks!" Shed begin her walk to her next class.
Jack looked back at the girl and nodded his head in recognition before flying head first into his dorm room door. "I swear it's always me!" He would grumble before landing and unlocking the door with his key.
Athena turned around when she heard a thud. To her amazement, it was Jackson, flying, head first, into a door. She made a slight giggle and then carried on with her walk to her next class.

Andy would catch up to Ashton. "Ash! Ash! Ash, please wait!"
"Ugh, what Andy!" he'd turn around flinging his arms around with his body and slamming them into his lap.
"Jack flew off... and well..." She would trail off.
"Andy, what the hell are you going on about?!" Ash was starting to lose his patience.
"Nobody here has ever spoken to me before you guys got here. Honestly, I don't really know anybody's names here." Andy's shoulders would slump as she explained her situation.
Ash would sigh out of pity. "Listen, Andy, I think if you got to know some people and actually talked to your peers, you would find yourself having friends, more than just me and Jack. Besides, Jack and I are always getting in fights and we don't like to get people in the middle of them. I have a friend named Devyn that has been in the middle of our arguments ever since we were one. I don't want to do that to someone else."
"Do you not realize what I look like compared to those Royals?" She would gesture to the people surrounding them lost in their own conversations. "None of them even look at me. Nonetheless, talk to me... I don't care about how dangerous it is. I just want some friends for once."
Ash would stop floating and walk over to Andy and place his right hand on the right side of her cheek. "I didn't say that me and Jack wouldn't be your friend's hun... I said that you should expand your horizons and really try. My best friend is my Twin, not including Devyn, and I think that you could really benefit from having friends other than me and Jackson. It will be healthy for you to get out there and try things way out of your comfort zone" Hed take his hand off of her cheek and stand before her. "Do you think that you can try and do that for me and Jack?"
She would smile as she looked up at him. "I guess it won't be so bad because I won't be the only one making friends."
"Exactly, now, go out and make some friends!" Ash would point f front of him.
"Your right! Thanks, Ashton! Even though I just met you, I really feel like we are going to be great friends!" Andy would quickly hug Ash with a light blush upon her cheeks and then start to run in the direction that Ash pointed.
"No problem and I hope we will be." Ash would return to his floating, meditating state and place his hands in his lap. "Feels good not to be the 'demon' for once" Ash would smile and float off to his next class.
