the two had arrived at jeongguk's, but decided to go to a nearby park, that had a small beachfront. it was a bit colder in the year, but that stopped neither of them to discard their socks and shoes, folding up their jeans and go knee deep in the cool water.
namjoon looked down, seeing small green-ish fish swim near his feet, giggling softly. he didn't catch the smirk on jeongguk's lips, before the boy kicked his foot up and splashed water all over the taller. "yah! jeon jeongguk i swear-" he was cut off by water getting all over his face, and a little in his mouth.
he spit out the water and pouted, rushing towards jeongguk, and without thinking, lunging forward, landing them both in the water. they quickly surfaced, laughing hard between gasps and wheezes. after a couple of minutes of drenching each other, the pair walked out of the water and sat on a nearby field of grass.
"oh my god- namjoon stay still." namjoon blinked, sending a confused expression towards jeongguk. "there's— a crab, on your head.." jeongguk choked up a bit, trying to hold in a giggle.
namjoon only smiled, quickly holding his hand laid open towards his head. the small creature crawled onto the boys hand, namjoon lowered it slowly so the crab wouldn't fall. "they look just like ge!" he giggled, rubbing his ring finger across the bumpy shell gently.
"who?" jeongguk tilted his head, and namjoon sputtered a bit. "m—my mom's— sisters- daughters- crab.. yeah, my cousin's pet crab. he's really adorable! he's all white and dusted with pink, and a few pink freckles!"
jeongguk nodded, smiling, his buck teeth resting on his bottom lip. "that's really cool, and cute." namjoon shook his head in response, standing up carefully with his free hand and walking onto the sand near the water.
he lowered his arm, letting the crab crawl off his hand. "bye bye buddie!" namjoon waved, and stood up straight, turning his head, bumping faces with jeongguk who was standing a bit too close behind him.
namjoon quickly pulled away, rubbing his forehead, flushing after he realized that his lips planted onto jeongguk's cheek a few moments ago. "i-i'm really sorry i- you were just so cu- cool! with.. letting that crab go a-and-"
namjoon giggled, sending a warm smile jeongguk's way. "it's okay!" jeongguk gulped, 'you cute little shit.'
"now let's go home! 's cold!"
