"hey joonie, do you like boba?" jeongguk's eyes stayed on the road, but his head slightly tilted towards namjoon. "of course!" jeongguk smiled, chuckling softly at the other boys excitement. "well, i know this place, it's cheap but it's soooo good. wanna go?" namjoon nodded eagerly, smiling widely, his dimples prominent.

jeongguk made a turn, and headed downtown. they arrived shortly, jeongguk finding a close parking spot. the boys got out of the car, heading towards the crosswalk. the sign turned to the little person walking, and namjoon stepped forward. he paused when he felt something latch onto his hand, looking down to see jeongguk's hand tightly wrapped around his.

he flushed, looking up at the other boy with a puzzled look. jeongguk smiled, "you gotta be safe." namjoon just nodded, darting his gaze to the ground. jeongguk didn't let go after they crossed, but namjoon didn't mind.

the two walk inside, namjoon looking around. there's a small black shelf filled with bored games, a couple of tables, and a wall filled with little sticky notes of sweet and cute nothings. namjoon liked this place, it was easing.

"how about you tell me what you want and then go pick a game and a seat for us."

namjoon looked around at the menu, his eyes stopping at a big sign with a drink. "i want the chocolate one.. right 'dere." namjoon pointed towards it, and jeongguk cooed inwardly. "alright bubba, now go along." namjoon nodded, shuffling over to the shelf.

he decided on checkers.

he grabbed the game and went to a table, setting up the game. jeongguk soon arrived, two big cups in his hands. he set namjoon's drink infront of him, the other boy thanking him softly. "of course, angel." namjoon flushed, sticking his straw into the drink. jeongguk coughed once he realize what he said, stammering out a flushed apology.

"i—it's fine, i.. it's fine." 'i liked it.'

after a few moments of flustered and embarrassed, the boys started the game. jeongguk was winning, but only because namjoon was letting him, since the smaller boy paid for the drinks. soon, the pair finished their drinks, and a tenth round of checkers. namjoon packed up the board game and walked over to the shelf, setting it back. he starred at the wall, covered in sticky notes.

an idea sprung, and he grabbed a small paper off of the counter, and a pen. he quickly wrote down 'i love you forever, hero bun.' and scribbled his signature at the bottom. he stuck the small piece of paper to the wall, it almost becoming hidden in all the other ones.

namjoon giggled to himself, quickly scurrying over to jeongguk, who was waiting for him at the door.

and once again, the buck tooth boy took his hand.
