Taehyung's POV

“Hey!” I yelled, running up to a bunch of seniors. I was in my sophomore year of high school, but I was the age of a junior. My parents had put me into school late.

The seniors all stopped beating up a kid and turned to face me. “The fuck you want, kid?” One of them asked, puffing up his chest. But they all knew better. Or they should.

I narrowed my eyes. “Get out of here. Don’t pick on freshmen.”

“And what’re you gonna do about it?” I smirked and stepped up to the guy.

“Try me bitch. You can join your friend in the nurse’s office, crying like a bitch when I beat your ass.”

“Why you little—!”

“Let’s go.” One of them said. “I don’t feel like hitting this twink anymore, anyway. He isn’t worth the dirt under my shoe.” I watched as they all walked away. I sighed and turned to the boy who was on the ground, holding his stomach.

My breath hitched a little when I saw him. He was beautiful. Gorgeous. He looked up at me with frightened eyes. Like a bunny caught by a tiger.

“You okay?” I asked.

“Y-Yeah. Thank you…” He said shyly. I saw a small blush coat his cheeks and I smiled. Cute.

“I’m Taehyung. Kim Taehyung. You can call me Tae. What’s your name, bun?”

He blushed more at the nickname, smiling shyly. “J-Jungkook.”

“Nice to meet you.” I helped him to his feet and picked up his books, handing them to him.

“T-thanks.” He repeated.

“No problem. I’ll see ya around?” He nodded, looking down as I waved and headed off to my class.

At the end of the day, I was walking down the hall. I spotted Jungkook and called out to him. He looked up, blushing when he saw me. I smirked internally, loving the reactions. “Hey, bun. Wanna hang out?”

“U-Uh...sure.” He smiled once again at me, and I felt something flutter in my chest. I smiled back at him, causing his face to become even redder.

“Come on. You wanna text your parents or anything? We can take my car and go hang out at my place.”

“S-sure, just give me a m-minute.” He took out his phone and started to type. When he was done I led him outside and over to my car. He slid into the passenger seat and we headed to my house.

“Hi mom!” I called when I entered.

“Hello dear! Oh, who’s this?” My mom asked when she turned.

“His name’s Jungkook. He’s a freshman.”

“You’re so adorable!” She squealed, instantly pinching his cheek. He smiled shyly, giggling a little. My mother squealed even more and I rolled my eyes.

“Alright, mom. Come on Jungkook, let me save you from this over grown child.”

“Yah! I birthed you! I spent thirteen hours in pain you’ll never understand! Yah! You hear me—!” I shut the door to my room, blocking out her voice.

Jungkook giggled again, and I swore I’d never heard a better sound. “I love your mom.”

“Great. Then you can come over all of the time. Her cooking is great. Well, my dad’s is better, but don’t let her hear that.” Jungkook smiled and nodded, looking around.

“So...what do you want to do?” He asked. I smiled when he didn’t stutter anymore.

“Wanna play some video games?”

“Sure!”

Present~

“So you just invited him over the first time you met?”

“I thought he was cute. And I wanted a new friend. People were scared of me.” Jin raised an eyebrow, looking me up and down. I pouted and crossed my arms, looking away. “Okay, there have obviously been reasons why you wouldn’t believe that, but why don’t you ask Jungkook to show you a picture? I’m sure that he has some. He was obsessed with his little camera.”

“I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact the Jungkook bottomed and you topped.”

“I didn’t think he’d have sprouted into a tree!”

“Well, What do you think would have happened if...you know…” I sighed, looking down at my hands.

“I honestly don’t know. But it’s not worth it to dwell on the what if’s. What happened happened, and there’s nothing I can do to change it, no matter how much I want to.” I smiled a little. “Thanks, Jin. You’re really god at cheering people up.” He returned my smile.

“No problem! And thank you for opening up to me. Anyway, you’ll have to be on bed rest for awhile, don’t move around too much. Also, make sure you eat a lot. You’re too skinny and I highly doubt that the changes to your body were natural.”

I nodded. “Yes, Doctor.” He laughed and stood.

“You want me to get Jungkook?”

“Can I talk to Jimin? I’ll talk to Kookie later.” Jin nodded and walked out.

A few minutes later, Jimin walked into the room. He sat beside the bed. “Hey, Tae…”

“Hi Jimin.”

“How’re you feeling?”

“A little better.” I sighed and looked down. “How’s Kook?”

“He’s doing fine. He’s more concerned about you than anything…” Jimin trailed off. I could tell that he wanted to talk about something.

“Do you want to ask something?” I asked.

“I don’t want...to intrude on your privacy.” He said. “Or Jungkook’s.”

“It’s okay.”

“Jungkook...gave me the impression that he...had been raped before. But he never told me a definite yes. I just wanted—“

“His sophomore year.” I said. Jimin froze. “Some of the seniors who’d graduated the year before were visiting the school again. They had bullied him his freshmen year. They found him in the bathroom and raped him. I found him later when he hadn’t come back to class.”

“W-What happened?” I sighed.

“Jungkook was sent to the hospital. They weren’t very kind about their treatment of him, he suffered many internal injuries. The worst was the tearing. He was embarrassed and devastated. He...tried to commit suicide twice.”

“Those fuckers—“

“They took dna samples of the...you know. They charged each of them, but they walked because they had money.” I looked up. Jimin was silent.

But he suddenly spoke. “You know their names?”

“Of course. How could I forget?”
