“Soyeon, stop talking.” The woman shut her mouth, her eyebrows furrowing at the tone of voice her fiancé was using with her.
“Kookie, What the matter?”
“Soyeon, I’m sorry.” Jungkook sighed out. “I know that we agreed to be engaged to benefit ourselves, but you left for China and I told you that we would no longer be engaged if you left. And you decided to leave.”
“But I came back, so I don’t see the problem—“
“I don’t love you, Soyeon. Not in that way. And I finally found the one I love and—“
“The one you love?” Soyeon gave Jungkook a confused look. “What do you mean? The one that shattered you into a million pieces? Kookie, I know that you still love him, but I don’t want you to be hurt again—“
“It wasn’t like that.” Jungkook said quickly. He had never explained to Soyeon what had actually happened, he had told her his side of the story, what he had been through and his thoughts. So Soyeon had a preconceived negative view of Taehyung.
“It wasn’t?”
“He was kidnapped and sold on the black market. I found him recently, while you were in China and we’ve been bonding, growing closer, and I’ve never loved someone more, Soyeon. Please, you’re one of the closest friends I have, but I don’t want to hurt you like this and keep leading you on. Didn’t you say you met some very nice men back in China? Go back there, find someone that you’ll love.”
“B-But. My father—“
“Your father won’t say a word to you, I promise you, Soyeon. But this engagement ended a long time ago, and I’m sorry if I’ve led you on this past week, but I can’t hurt the one I love any longer.”
“Oh my. I’m so sorry, I didn’t know that we were hurting him.” Soyeon cracked a smile. “It’s okay, Kookie, I completely understand. No hard feelings. And...friends?”
“Yes, Of course.” Jungkook nodded and smiled, relieved that the woman was so understanding. Of course, it was natural for Soyeon to be worried about her father and try to cling to the engagement. While engaged to Jungkook, she was protected from her father’s schemes of selling her off to some rich old guy to benefit his company.
But she would back down if Jungkook was in love with someone else.
“May I meet Taehyung again? I wanna get to know the love of my best friend’s life.” The woman smiled and elbowed Jungkook knowingly.
“Sure, I don’t see why not.”
“Great! We can have a girls day out, get some tea, go shopping, oh this should be fun. Anyway, I should go, my sister is coming to visit me later today and you know how she is…” Soyeon trialed off and Jungkook nodded, standing from his seat.
He leaned over and kissed the woman’s cheek in parting. “I’ll see you tomorrow, Soyeon.”
“Bye Kookie!”
-
“Unnie.”
“Soyeon.” The woman hugged her younger sister, draping her arms in an elegant manner. “You’re on time for once, dear.” Soyeon rolled her eyes.
“Of course, mistress.” She said, teasing. The woman gave her a stern gaze.
“That is not for public talk, Soyeon, and you know that.”
“Yes, I am sorry Unnie. Come, my home is already waiting and I’ve had a room prepared fo you already.”
The woman nodded and followed her younger sister to her car. The male with her trailed behind obediently, his head down and arms clasped together in the front.
“Sit.” The woman demanded of the boy one the car door was opened. The man instantly crawled into the car, sitting on the ground rather than the seat, successfully wedging his body in the tight space.
“Did you really have to bring one of your pets?”
“I am training him, and his auction is next week, I cannot afford to lax off now, you know that, Soyeon.” The woman nodded and told her driver to go.
They arrived at the apartment, where Soyeon invited the two in. “Unnie, there’s so much to catch up on! Come, I’ll have a maid bring us some tea and we can go and sit in the foyer.”
“Of course.” The woman turned to face the man who was now on his knees by the door. “Three doors down to the left is your room, I want you to go and play with yourself, pet, be a good boy though, no cumming until I come and get you.”
“Yes, mistress.” The boy whispered, crawling towards his destination. The woman gave him a smack on his ass, which was barely covered by a short mini skirt.
Soyeon rolled her eyes and turned back to her sister. “Anyway, how was Russia? I heard you made quite a name for yourself there these past few years.”
“Yes. And what of you? You’ve returned from China, have you met up with the lovely fiancé of yours?”
Soyeon sighed, nodding. “He actually broke off the engagement with me today. He found that one boy I was talking to you about.”
“I see.” The woman twirled the spoon in her cup around, dissolving the sugar she’d placed into the cup. “Did you ever tell him of your feelings?” Soyeon shook her head.
“I didn’t want to force them on him, I knew he was in love with someone else and…” Soyeon sighed. “He’ll be happy, I’m sure.”
“What’s his name?”
“Huh?”
“His name. Of the man Jungkook is replacing you with.”
“Kim Taehyung.” Soyeon jumped when her sister dropped her spoon. It was perhaps one of the only slip ups she’d ever seen the woman make.
“I’m sorry?” The woman glanced at Soyeon.
“Kim Taehyung...do you know him?” Soyeon tilted her head, confused at her sister’s behavior.
“Kim...Taehyung…He was the last boy I trained before moving to Russia.”
