“Hey, Kookie, Taehyung fell asleep and I just wanted you to know that I headed out of the house a few hours ago. I forgot to call and tell you. I know that you wanted me to stay, but my sister’s still in town so...I’ll see you tomorrow, Okay Kookie?”
Jungkook looked down at his phone and sighed. “Honestly, she’s such an airhead sometimes.” Jungkook shook his head, but walked inside of his home. The others walked in behind him.
“It’s so quiet.”
“Taehyung is taking a nap apparently, and you know Soyeon.” The others nodded. “Anyway, I’m gonna go check on Taehyung. Why don’t you guys go and get cleaned up? We can all have dinner together tonight, it’s been awhile.”
“Sure.”
Jungkook nodded and headed upstairs, on his way to go and check on Taehyung. When he entered his room, he was surprised to find that the man wasn’t nestled into their bed. His eyebrows furrowed as he looked around.
“Love?” He called. He walked towards the bathroom when he heard the sound of running water.
Taehyung must’ve been taking a bath.
Jungkook smiled, knowing that Taehyung loved baths. Maybe the man would allow him to join him before dinner.
He knocked on the door. “Love, are you taking a bath? Can I come in?” He asked, biting his lower lip and waiting.
But he frowned when he didn’t receive a response. “Love, it’s not nice to ignore me, I can just come on in on my own.”
Still, there was no response and something ugly began to form in the deeper pits of Jungkook’s gut.
He gripped the doorknob, trying to turn it, but it was locked. “Love, come on, this isn’t funny.” He pressed. “Taehyung!” He shouted. He loudly hit the door, trying to maybe frighten Taehyung a little to let him know that the joke wasn’t funny.
But he didn’t get any kind of response. Jungkook finally just settled with breaking the door down, but he stopped dead in his tracks at the sight before him.
“No. No!” He screamed, rushing forward, scooping Taehyung out of the water, now stained red. The bathtub was overflowing, the red stained water flowing onto the ground, soaking and staining his rugs, but he didn’t care.
Tears started to form in his eyes as he screamed for Jin and the others. “No, no, no, please, love. Please, don’t do this, please wake up.” He begged, his voice cracking in desperation as he furiously moved Taehyung’s wet hair from his forehead.
An out of breath Jin ran to the door. “What do you—oh my god!” The man’s eyes widened as he rushed forward.
“Please...please, Jin Hyung, help him, please.” Jungkook begged.
“Let go.” Jin said. “Jungkook, let go! I can’t help him if you don’t let go!” Finally prying the man from Jungkook’s arms, Jin rushed out, carrying him down to his office, laying him down.
He checked for a pulse, but found nothing. Cursing, he quickly moved around the room, grabbing a bunch of things before returning to the man, pressing several buttons on the wall beside him to call for some help from the staff.
He started compressions as more people came in. Jin began ordering them around, telling the first woman to hook up the blood bag he’d grabbed and start the transfusion.
He had two more attend to the man’s wound as he continued to give for, trying to get the man back. “Get him out of here!” Jin yelled when he noticed Jungkook rushing down and into the room.
“No! I need to see him!”
“Get him out of here!” Jin shouted again, Jimin and Hoseok rushing down to drag the struggling Jungkook from the room, screaming and calling for Taehyung.
Jin swore as he continued.
Hoping that he wasn’t too late.
