Betty strode down the halls to meet the new student and give her a tour of Riverdale High.
"Hey there." Betty smiled at the newcomer.
"Hi, Betty?" Evelyn smiled at her. Betty nodded. Betty was suddenly conscious, Evelyn had a figure that no boy could resist. They started walking down the halls when they past Jughead, "Oh, boy is he good looking." Evelyn smirked at her, "What's his name?"
"Jughead, but he has a partner." Betty forced a smile.
"Well I bet I'm hotter so yeah cya blondie." Evelyn smiled at her and walked the opposite direction of Jughead.
"Thank god." Betty sighed while placing her palms on the back of her hips and tilting her neck to the side. (If you want a good visual picture think of Betty 2x09 after her and Jughead fought a little in the B&G room before giving each other their presents)
"You seem distressed." Jughead spoke behind her while looping his arms though hers and placing his hands on her stomach.
"I'm already irritated." Betty once again sighed when she felt jughead's soft hair against her's.
"I gotta go betts But I'll see you tomorrow?" Jughead took his hands off her stomach and the retreated back at his sides.
"Ok." Betty turned around and met his loving gaze with her's. He gave her a peck on the cheek before leaving the corridor.
___Betty was checking back at the blue and gold room to see if everything was in its'
place when she heard jughead's laugh follow behind a girls giggle. At first she though Veronica was in there and told Jughead a friendly joke but when she looked into the room barely touching the threshold she saw Evelyn and Jughead were there and Evelyn was giggling flirtatiously with Jughead."Can I have your number jug?" Evelyn asked putting her hand on his shoulder. Betty liked that Jughead made new friends, male or female but what bothered her is that when those new friends touched his shoulder or anything he would tense up a bit but when Evelyn did it he sunk into her touch.
"Yeah, sure." Jughead pulled out his phone to give her his number and that definitely bothered her it would take at least months to get jughead's phone number. Betty felt stupid when she knew tears were forming she knew deep down into her core that Jughead would never hurt her like this but it still hurt her.
"So where were we juggie?" That's when Betty left her, nickname felt better coming off of someone else's lips. Betty walked into the girls bathroom and started crying, she left too soon to hear if Jughead didn't like her saying it but it felt right when Evelyn said "juggie", like it was Betty's temporary happiness.
"Oh, dear, cousin Betty," Cheryl spoke. Betty stiffened at her sight, "what's wrong?" Betty sighed after wiping her nose with the back of her hand and sniffling, "Evelyn Evernever." She scoffed.
"That bitch, she tried to hit on Reggie." Cheryl rolled her eyes and scoffed, "I'll leave this up to you bettykins, but if you need any help with that siren I'll be up for it." Betty smiled at Cheryl's kindness and got up from the floor. She collected herself before standing at the threshold of the B&G room where Evelyn and Jughead were still talking.
"So, juggie." Evelyn took a step closer to him. Jughead pinched his eyebrows together and tried to take a step back but Evelyn placed her hand on his cheek which trailed down to his chest and Jughead was unable to move, "you know that Cooper girl doesn't love you like I do juggie." Evelyn smiled seductively while dragging her hand up his chest.
"Hi." Betty spoke softly like she wasn't there the entire time.
"B-,"
"No jug, I'll see you in a century." She scoffed and walked away.
Maybe I'm over exaggerating
I'm just being a bitch
"Betty!" Jughead called from behind her. Betty swung around to fave him with concerned eyes.
"Why aren't you with Evelyn?" Betty smiled innocently, "she's obviously better and old Betty Cooper." Betty spun back around, Jughead scoffed and gently grabbed her elbows and spun her around.
"I do NOT love Evelyn Evernever, Evelyn Evernever doesn't have wonderful friends, Evelyn Evernever doesn't have a wonderful personality, Evelyn Evernever isn't supportive, Evelyn Evernever isn't my other half so that clears my statement that Evelyn Evernever is NOT Betty Cooper!" Jughead shook her gently with reddening eyes. "Evelyn Evernever is not mine." Betty smiled that same smile she showed when saying their first 'I love you's'. "Repeat it Betts, I am not Evelyn Evernever."
"I'm not Evelyn Evernever." Jughead's hands trailed up her arms and framed her face.
"I love Betty Cooper not Evelyn Evernever."
"I get it now Jug." Betty let out a snotty laugh.
"Call me juggie now, forever." He pulled her in closing the space between them.
"I love you." Betty whispered between their breaths.
