"Hello?" Betty picked up her phone when it rang.
"Is this Betty Cooper?" The voice asked on the other end.
"Yes?" Her voice thick with concern, "what's wrong?"
"Your partner, Forsythe Pendleton Jones got in a car wreck while driving down the highway." Betty's heart dropped.
"Okay, Thank you, I- I'll come."
Betty tugged on her coat with trembling hands and glossed I've eyes. She walked because she knew it would be dangerous to drive with her blurry vision. As she walked the short way her whole world crashed.
What if he leaves me?
What if he doesn't stay?
Her pace quickened.

"Hello, I'm looking for Forsythe Pendleton Jones." She told the receptionist.
"Room 203." She smiled as Betty walked to his room.
The sight made her heart drop. Jughead was unconscious, his lips dry and almost lifeless. She broke there, holding his hand, watching the blood fill him.
"Ms.Cooper?" Betty looked up at the nurse. "We have feedback." The nurse told her before walking over to the opposite side of his bed, "He isn't doing too good." The nurse put his clipboard on the counter. "Just be ready if you lose him." The nurse fiddled with something before leaving the room.
"Jug." Betty talked to the fighting human. "If you leave me I swear to God I'll come up there and slap you." Betty let out a sad laugh, "Don't leave me early."

"I don't think he'll make it, Betty." Alice looked over at her sad daughter. "Might as well give up, right."
"When have I listened to you." Betty snapped angrily at her mother.

"He isn't doing good, Betty." Veronica sighed on the other side of their booth. Betty gripped Jughead's beanie to stop her from breaking skin. "He-,"
"I know what you're going to say." Betty looked up at her. "Just know you're wrong."

"Everyone's giving up on you Jug." Betty cried. "It's been a month, I don't know how they can give up to quickly." She squeezed his hand. "I love you." And with those words his fingers twitched a little and she was once again filled with hope. "I love you so much Juggie, I'll see you tomorrow." She smiled and kissed his head.

"Nurse!" Betty called, Jughead had woken. A nurse came in and removed everything.
"We'll come back for questioning." The nurse smiled before leaving.
"Betty?" Jughead looked up at her. Betty's eyes welled up with tears. He
"Oh, juggie!" Betty cried and placed sloppy kisses all over his cuts. "Don't do that ever again!" She let out a teary laugh as Jughead tried to catch her lips.
"God Betty, let me kiss you." He huffed, Betty granted his wishes and he kissed her. "That's better." He sighed as they pulled away.
"If this ever happens again I swear I'm going to slap the idiot out of you." He chuckled at her threat and trapped her lips once again.
