Chapter Two

 Ava woke up struggling to breathe, she quickly sat up and started having a coughing fit, when she started to calm down, she looked around and noticed she wasn't at the park anymore "where am I?" she thought. The door opened to the room she was in and realized it was a doctor "glad your awake" he said as he closed the door behind him, he had white hair with orange tips, he wore a white doctor's coat with an orange shirt under it and brown pants. Ava looked at him with worry in her eyes "I'm doctor Richard, I will be looking after you for the time that you're here" he reassured, Ava was still a bit skeptical about doctor Richard and the place that she was at, Ava looked around for a piece of paper and a pen, she found some on a table beside her bed; she started writing something down and the doctor was confused about what she was doing.

She held the page up to him and he read what she had written down "I want to leave, I don't like places like this or doctors or anything that has to do with medical care or trying to help me" Richard took a seat in a chair beside her bed and leaned back a bit to not scare her "I'm only trying to help, it's my job Ava. If you weren't brought here, you would have been really sick from hypothermia. We have to make sure you are in good health and then we can take you home" he tried to be not so blunt about it, Ava looked at him and Richard saw the anger in her eyes and wrote something down, showing his the page "I don't have a home to go to! I don't need anyone's help, just leave me alone!" the doctor sighed and wrote something down on a pad, putting the pad back into his pocket "I will leave you alone then, I will return when you have calmed down" and with that the doctor left the room leaving Ava alone.

Ava looked down to her arm seeing a needle to the IV, she ripped it out and climbed out of the bed, she looked out the window seeing how up she was "dumb ass' think putting me on the second floor was a good idea apparently" she thought. Ava changed her clothes and opened the window, she climbed down and landed on the ground without being detected. She ran as fast as she could into the woods "there's no way in hell I'm going back to the park if they found me that easily" she found a cave quite a ways away from the park, Ava walked inside and found multiple cavern's, she went down one cavern and found an open space "I should be safe here" she set her things down and laid down on the rocky ground and closed her eyes.

Meanwhile at the hospital

Richard walked back into the room Ava was in, "Ava, we need to discuss-" he looked at the bed and noticed she wasn't their and the IV needle was on the floor with droplets of blood, he poked his head out into the hallway "we got a code yellow in here!" he yelled, Richard pulled out his phone and dialed a number "Optimus, we have a situation". The leader arrived at the hospital, in his holoform and met up with doctor Richard "Optimus, Ava has escaped" he stated, Optimus placed a servo on his friend's shoulder "don't worry old friend, know is to blame for this" the Prime reassured, Ratchet thought for a moment then realized something "I forgot, when Ava was still unconscious I inserted a tracking device in her arm, for precautions" he mentioned, Optimus nodded and called his team.

Back at the cave

Ava was taking a long nap when she started to hear engine noise from one of the caverns, she sat up and picked her knapsack, Ava behind a boulder, hoping whoever walked inside won't see her. After a few minutes of waiting she soon hears footsteps walk into the cavern, she doesn't dare look over the rock and cause a risk of being seen "how intriguing" she heard a really deep voice say till she heard a slight growl from another "incompetent fools! This mining equipment should have been relocated" a higher pitched man whined "why is it still here?" he wondered "a most valid question" continued the deep voice, Ava just listened in on their conversation waiting for them to leave "my apologies, master" the higher pitch seemed to beg a bit "I believe Soundwave was in charge of coordinating transport" he added "but in fairness, during your interstellar travels, we all had to assume additional responsibilities" he continued, "clearly, mistakes were made"

he added one last time before laughing slightly in nervousness "yes, clearly" the deep voice seemed a bit angered, Ava heard a big crash then the voice boomed around the cavern "every last trace of Energon extracted?" yup he is angered "Lord Megatron, I can explain" a whine from the higher pitch was heard "explain what? That you've been hoarding a supply of Energon for your personal use?" Ava thought for a moment "what's Energon?" she asked herself "no! Not exactly" the whine came back "you see, I-" he was about to continue when he was cut off "do not take me for a fool, Starscream!" his voice echoed throughout the cavern "I have been wise to your transgressions from the beginning" he continued "not only did you pluck the Dark Energon from my chest in a failed attempt to snuff my spark, but you tried to raise your own undead warrior with it" he added "it's no secret that you lost an arm in the process, which you've since had replaced". Ave covered her ears trying to muffle the incessant booming from the man's voice, a slight gasp could be heard from the higher pitched male

"you know about that?!" he said shockingly "Soundwave is quite competent at surveillance, I can assure you" the echoing continued "the fact is, Starscream, despite your treachery" the deep voiced man continued "I've allowed you to carry on this long because I took a certain delight in following your string of failures" he added "but you've finally become tiresome, predictable. You've hit rock bottom" he finished, Ava heard metal being hit against metal then begging "master, please! Give me one more chance!" then the metal hit the rocky ground "I beg of you!" the man yelled for his life "is he going to die?" she thought to herself "you have ceased to be of use to me, Starscream" Ava heard a charging sound and covered her head in case any debris fell "so you shall simply cease to be" his voice hissed then a blast sound echoed throughout the cavern, some debris fell but mainly small chunks of the ceiling, Ava uncovered her head and ears as she heard the the heavy footsteps leave the room, she climbed out of her hiding spot and saw a lifeless body on the ground; Ava walked up to it and saw it was completely made of metal, she looked at his face and saw it calm but a bit terrified at the same time "he looks like a metal humanoid, that's a jet?" she wonders about their abilities but decides to leave before of of them come.

Ava walked around in the woods looking for some sort of shelter, till she came across an abandoned cabin. She went inside, it was rather dusty and full of cobwebs in tight corners, Ave explored more of the house and came across a bedroom, the bed was covered by a white sheet, she ripped the sheet off of the bed and saw that the mattress hadn't been touched in a very long time, she put her things beside the bed and laid down looking up at the ceiling, it was rather dirty but she didn't care, as long as she had somewhere to stay it was fine with her.

The Prime and the medic were back at base with the other's, everyone was getting a bit impatient with the lack of info that they have on Ava and on her whereabouts, the big green bot came to stand behind the hard working medic "have you found her yet?" he eagerly asked, Ratchet sighed out in frustration "no, not yet Bulkhead, and if everyone would stop asking me, I might actually find something on where she is" the medic almost yelled, Optimus ordered everyone to leave the room and let the medic work, the Prime stayed to monitor his progress in finding the human "I'm sorry, I'm just a bit worried that, I may have caused this?"

Ratchet admitted as he typed "what do you mean?" Optimus asked, the medic sighed "I think I pushed her, frightened her, she told me she's scared of doctors and anything to do with any sort of medical care that would help her. I'm just not good at acting the way these humans expect me to" Optimus came up beside the field medic and rested a servo on his shoulder plate "it is not your fault, you did your best, not everything turns out the way you want it to" after Optimus had finished speaking, a beeping sound could be heard on the monitor "Optimus, we've located Ava" Ratchet announced.
