Chapter Three

The next day, Ava walked out of the woods and back onto the street headed back to school. As the teacher yapped about math equations, Ava thought about that metal being she had seen the other day "I wonder where they came from" she thought before seeing the teacher look at her with a stern look on her face and her arms crossed "Ava, I expect you to listen" she had said, Ava nodded vigorously and the teacher continued her lecture. At the end of class, Ava went to her locker and she opened it a piece of folded up paper fell onto the floor, she picked it up and unfolded it 'meet at the front after school' it said, she shook her head and throughout the paper grabbing her books for her next class, she closed her locker and headed to class.

The school bell rang and all the student's ran out to meet up with their friends, Ava walked out of the building and headed down the street to her workplace. Three kids ran after her from behind "Ava, wait!" Miko called, Ava kept walking, trying to ignore them; they slowed down and started walking beside her "why didn't you wait for us?" the black haired boy wondered, Miko looked at him "Jack, she can't talk remember? So don't ask questions that you can't answer too" she snarled, Ava shook her head a bit angered about the she had said that and started walking faster then them, they also sped up their walking speed catching up to her, then all three of them jumped in front of Ava stopping her in her tracks, she took out a piece of paper from her bag and wrote something down and showed them what she said "I have to go to work, if you have something to say, say it" they read, the smaller boy spoke "we need you to come with us, we've already booked you the day off" Ava crossed her arms in frustration and something else down "I don't trust anyone, not even you so I'm not going anywhere with you" Miko looked at the others then back at Ava, she raised her fist and punched Ava in the face, she fell to the ground unconscious, the two boys' mouths were agape and they both turned to the punk girl "what? She wasn't gonna come with us, so may as well force her along" she said innocently, Jack facepalmed and called someone.

Ava was starting to regain consciousness when she started hearing voices in the place she was at "Miko she could have had severe damage if you hit her hard enough, but hitting her at all was not OK. We could have convinced her to come here with us" Jack's voice could be heard across the room yelling at Miko, then she heard other voices but much closer to her and it sounded like doctor Richard "she should be regaining consciousness soon, but in the meantime we should leave her to rest; I will keep watch of her and alert all of you when she wakes up"

he said, Ava heard footsteps get further and further away. Ava felt back unconscious a few seconds after everything went silent, she thought she had opened her eyes when things started to clear up but then she realized she wasn't awake but seeing through someone's eyes again, they were on the ground where streaks of white from incoming bullets could be seen all around in a snow covered forestry area, she looked beside her and noticed a man was talking to her but she couldn't hear him "I wonder if this one is deaf, at least I won't be able to hear screaming" she thought, then a man came up behind both of them and pointed a gun right at the younger man's heart, without mercy he fired the man that was shot looked at her with tears running down his face, the sadness was visible with his lip quivering form the pain, he had said something to her but she didn't what then he closed his eyes and went limp, the man with the gun, shot Ava in the head killing her also, she sat up quickly just getting her breathe back as she coughed violently, she looked around and noticed doctor Richard was right at her side, he handed her some water and she took it from him, downing it instantly. She put the glass on a table next to her and looked up at the doctor, she looked down at her hands remembering her dream or nightmare, or whatever you call it, the doctor sees a distant look in Ava's eyes, he got up and walked out of the room headed to where the others were.

Ratchets holoform was deactivated when he walked into the other room "Optimus" he called the Prime over and they both walked out of the room. Ratchet led them into the hallway and he sighed, turning around to face his leader "she's awake, but I'm going to let you talk to her" the medic instructed, Optimus looked down at his old friend "if you'd think it would help" he replied before headed down the hall. The Prime activated his holoform which was a tall young man roughly in his late twenties, he had dark blue hair, light cyan blue eyes, he wore a red t-shirt under an unzipped dark red racer jacket with light-darkish blue boot cut jeans, he walked into the med bay and saw the young human girl on the medical berth, she looking straight at him with her arms crossed, he sat down in the chair Ratchet was in earlier, Ava watched his every move. The Prime looked at her with a reassuring look on his face "my name is Orion, Richard told me you have. Problems with medical care, but I am not a doctor" he tried to be calming and reassuring with his words

"can you tell me what the problem is?" he asked, Ava thought for a moment "how does he know, there's something wrong?" she asked herself before writing something down, then handing him the piece of paper "how do you know there's something?" it said, Orion handed that paper back to her "I know when people are upset, people think their hiding it but it's all over their face" he answered, Ava thought of something to say then wrote it down "how can I trust you? You allowed the three kids from school to kidnap me" she stated, Orion thought for a moment "I did not allow that and they will be sent home for their punishment, and as for your question, I am a man of my word and whatever we talk about, stays between us" he smiled slightly, Ava did the same but her smile fell quickly and then she hugged herself. Orion came closer to her as his smile also fell "would you like to talk about it?" he asked, Ava looked up at him and nodded slowly, she looked around for another piece of paper; then remembered she has a notebook in her bag, she pointed to it letting Orion know she wanted it. He handed her the book bag and she took out her notebook, she started writing down what she wanted to tell him.

Once she was finished, she handed her notebook to the man, he took it and started reading "I've been seeing people's deaths in my dreams. I see through someone else's eyes and watch as someone they know or a stranger they just see, die. Before I woke up I had one with army soldiers it looked like, his friend had died by a bullet to his heart but since the man I was 'being' I guess couldn't hear, I didn't hear what his friend had said before he died, then I died to the same man but to the head and every time the person I am dies, I wake up right after gasping for breathe." when he read that, he felt pity for the human, no one should go through that especially at a young age. Ava noticed his gaze and knew he had finished, she tried to hold back tears but they slipped down her cheeks, she hugged herself in sadness Orion noticed and wrapped his arms around her in an embrace, she silently cried into his shoulder and she realized how much sadness she's kept inside her and not letting it out.

A few minutes later the Prime deactivated his holoform and walked back into the next room, everyone noticed he returned and Ratchet walked up to him "how is she?" he asked, Optimus looked at the medic then at his team "she will be remaining here for the time being, she's resting at the moment so I would advise everyone to remain in here until she wakes up again" everyone nodded in agreement and waiting till it was safe to go back.
