"So.. you and Loki, huh?" Tony spoke. It was late at night, she and tony used to do this all the time. They wouldn't be able to sleep, so they'd retire to the living room.

They both sat on the couch, sitting mostly in silence. Then they'd make small talk, which turned into a deep conversation.

"Dammit Nat." Nico muttered under her breath. "Yeah. Me and Loki." She said.

"I'm gonna be honest with ya, coco-" Tony started. "Ew." Nico interrupted. "Don't call me coco- that's.. not me." She said.

Tony rolled his eyes, "Okay." He said, "as I was saying, I kinda expected this to happen a long time ago. But... I thought you and that Eddie guy were pretty close?" He asked.

"Eddie and I? Yeah we're close. What about him?" She asked.

"Nothin'. I actually thought he was your boyfriend when he barged into the coffee shop-" tony started.

"oh fuck! The coffee shop! Do I quit?" Nico asked. Tony grumbled, "Stop interrupting me." He said. "That's your choice. Would you rather be stuck in that place in San Francisco or see the world with the best group of heroes, again?" He asked.

"I saw the world crumble." Nico spoke bitterly.

"I- I know. But there's always those safe houses that have the best views." Tony tried, weakly.

Nico rolled her eyes, she hummed in response. "I took the rest of the week off. They were surprisingly willing." She said, "I'll have the rest of the week to decide."

-

"Good morning." Eddie said, greeting Nico. It was about 11:20 am. Nico smiled lazily, she seemed to do that a lot around Eddie.

"Mornin'." She responded. "How was your sleep?" She asked. Eddie grinned, "how was my sleep? Really?"

Nico shrugged, "I dunno- some people don't like to sleep in the safe houses." She said.

Eddie hummed, "nah I slept fine. You on the other hand- you don't sleep enough." He said.

Nico groaned, they've had conversations like this before. 'You don't get enough sleep, nico.' Eddie would always say to her.

"I don't want another lecture, man." She said, as everyone else slowly started to pile into the living room. Each one making a spot into their own.

Bruce and Nat sat on the table, Tony was sitting on a single seater couch, Steve was leaning on the wall, Sam was standing by the door, Wanda sat on the couch and Loki was staring at Eddie and Nico.

"I know." Eddie responded. Nico huffed, rolling her eyes playfully. She then chuckled when he pouted, squeezing eddies cheeks.

Loki watched in jealously, why could he not make her do this? Will he need to pout, also? He thought it was pathetic- the relationship between Eddie and Nico. Why were they so close?

After watching them interact for a few minutes, Loki couldn't take it. He had to say his goodbyes. He cleared it throat, it was about time he was to tell everyone.

They all looked towards him. He smirked at the attention, "as you all know, my brother went out to look for Jane. I have been informed, last night- that he needs my assistance with something." He started.

"I will be leaving at 6:00 pm, according to thors message. He will pick me up and I will leave. I bid you all the best journey, and good luck." He ended.

They all looked at him, a little suspicious. "Leaving so soon?" Nat spoke, looking over at Nico subtly.

"Well, yes. Thor said it was an urgent matter. I have to leave almost immediately." Loki responded. He looked at everyone, everywhere except for Nico's direction.

"Have you packed?" Nico asked, strongly. Loki looked over at her, finally. "N-No." he said, almost knowing what's coming.

"I'll help you." She said, walking over to him. "No I really don't really need you to-" Loki started as Nico grabbed his upper arm, dragging him to his room.

"What the hell, man?" Nico exclaimed when they entered his room. "I- I know- but I really don't want to question Thor over this." Loki responded, "I am... sorry, my love." He said.

Nico rolled her eyes, "remember the last time you left?" She asked. Loki had gone on trips with Thor multiple times when she lived at the avengers tower, and everything would always happen the same.

(Flashback)
"I'll be back soon." Loki promised. Nico nodded, giving him a kiss before the two walked out of the room they were in. "Have a safe trip, you two." Steve nodded, watching as Loki gripped to Thor's arm. "I assure you, captain- we will." Thor said. They all waved, Loki and Nico sharing a loving look before Thor looked up, saying "heimdall!" And the two were gone in a few seconds.

Loki didn't return for a few months, and when he did- he was very distant. Which confused Nico. But, she was understanding- even if she didn't understand why he was acting this way. He barely even spoke to her.

And when she did, she didn't push him away like he did to her when he returned from his trip with Thor. A few months went by, and slowly things went back to 'normal.' They acted like they normally did, with their secret kisses and such. Then, they found her journal and a bunch of shit happened.

"I... I do." Loki nodded, "and I am sorry I acted that way." He said.

"Multiple times." Nico said. "I don't think I'm ready for that again, Loki." She added.

She sighed, "I can't keep giving you more and more chances at 'us.' We cant keep coming back to each other." She said.

Loki looked at Nico, deciding if he should be accepting or angry. He chose the latter.

"Fine. Go then, I don't need your pathetic presence in my life anymore. I'll be perfectly fine without your mortal idiocy." He said.

Nico glared at him, "Okay.. this is how you wanna play." She muttered to herself quietly. "As if you're no different, Loki. If I'm pathetic, you're just pitiful. I'm trying to do something good for me- and you're here getting all fuckin' mad. It's almost laughable." She said.

"Stop being foolish, Nico." Loki hissed, "I don't need your worthless presence here to help me pack. I'll do it just fine myself." He said, waiting for Nico to respond. When she didn't, he looked over and her eyes were changing colours rapidly.

Blue, green, red, orange, yellow, purple. She looked at him with a harsh, icy glare. He was almost frightened, as he looked at her. He would use his powers but it was as if his feet were stuck to the floor by her glare.

She hardened her glare, and that's when Loki tried to move. He couldn't. "Nico- stop." He said. She couldn't hear him, and Loki yelled out as her eyes went from green to gold, to a very dark blue. He could feel as his mouth seemingly was being zipped close.

He couldn't move his legs, nor could his move his mouth. Nico's eyes slowed down in speed as the colours changed. Steve and Eddie bursted through the door, looking around for the danger.

The others entered slowly. "Nico!" Eddie yelled, trying to get through to her. Loki yelped through his closed mouth and everyone brought their attention to him.

He rolled his eyes when they looked back at Nico after three seconds.

Nico's eyes started to go back to normal, and slowly- Loki could move his legs and mouth. Nico mumbled some incoherent words, and her eyes rolled to the back of her head. She sighed as she fell down, this time- no one to catch her.

"Shit." Eddie breathed, looking at her.
