Even at the bonfire, Riri was still seated between me and Kathy.  Tanika, who was sitting on my other side, leaned on my shoulders while softly strumming some tune on the guitar.  Well, it was more like I was seated between Riri and Tanika.  Mahirap na.  Maghapon na akong nalulusutan ng mga ‘to.

I was beginning to wonder how many boxes of beer Thirdy bought for we never seem to ran out despite that most of us have been drinking since dinner.  In fact, Laya and I started before that.  Buti na lang at hindi sumama ang mga rookies.  Malamang  ako nanaman ang ituturong B.I.

We were lazily sitting around the fire… too full from the dinner we just had that we were consciously trying not to fall asleep… but have consumed enough alcohol to lull some of us to sleep.  The flames danced each time the wind blew.  They swayed to music that none of us can hear.  Pia was dozing off while seated between Arylle and Thirdy.  Julie and Yen were laughing at Hannah who was obviously tipsy.  Nicole and Monica were softly talking.  Kuya Dante, Laya and Loren were too engrossed in some conversation they’ve been having since dinner.

Hannah suddenly stood up on wobbly feet.  “Bakit ang seryoso natin?” she complained.  “Hoy! Niks, baka mag-iyakan pa tayo sa mga tinutugtog mo dyan.  Dapat happy tayo ngayon.  4-0 tayo.  We’re one win more than we did last year.  Dapat nagcecelebrate tayo.  Cheers!” She raised her beer high.

“Cheers!” everyone said and raised their drink.

“Ganyan.  Para lang tayo nagbubonfire nito sa Sunken,” she said quite satisfied.  “Laglagan na lang tayo.  Este… kwentuhan.”

Riri didn’t seem to understand what Hannah said and was scratching her head.

“Bawal ang pikon!” Hannah added a little bit slurred.

Iba talaga ang trip nitong payatot na ‘to paglasing.

“Tama na! May tama ka na!” Yen interrupted.  “Ang gulo mo.”

“Yen, ang ganda ganda mo,” Hannah almost shouting.  “And I’m the biggest liar.”

“Gagu!” Yen shove Hannah who almost fell on Julie.  “Para sa mga hindi nakakaalam, si Hannah pagnalalasing ng hahalik at nang haharass.  One time sa isang party, hinalikan niya ang ex ni Julie,” Yen retaliated.

“Lambingan pa lang ‘yan,” I told Riri with a low voice.  “Mamaya, magkakapersonalan na. ”

The worst part of Hannah’s drunken adventures was that she cannot remember what happened.  So I was guessing the horrified look in Hannah’s face right now, she was trying to decipher if Yen was making up stories or not.

Julie was trying to smile and act like a true sport.  “Huwag niyo na kayang pag-usapan ang mga walang kwentang tao.  Kaya nga EX… kasi umexit na,” Julie reminded them.

“Eh ‘di ‘yung present na lang pag-usapan natin,” Kathy announced.  “May pag-asa ba ‘yung umaaligid na agila?”

“Hindi pa ba sila?” Arylle butted in.

“Sino naman ‘yan?” Monica pretending she didn’t know.

“Eh ‘di sino pa… ‘yung agilang makulit at walang kasing kapal ang kilay na kamukha ni Olaf,” Pia came alive and declared to everyone.
