Chapter 8

I don't really know what classify in my writing as 'mature' in my writing as I hate bad words and in romances only allow a kiss at best until I feel otherwise. Still, it doesn't go far, but the reason that I turned it on here is that this and the future chapters will include a lot more bad words, thoughts of suicide, and violence than I wouldn't like for anyone who isn't good at that to read.

Other than that, get ready for some character development.

You know back when bars were a thing people would come every day. They would come from blocks away and from all types of cultures. There would always be fights on who they were or how drunk the bastards could get, but it didn't matter where you came from. We were all there to fucking drown our sorrows together until our wives came in to get our shit together or join the fest. We were all having the worst day in the world, let's drown it together, then deal with the consequences of that one bar fight between this other dude later.

I never understood the need to drown your sorrows in that cold drink of theirs. It's been happening for ages and usually, it would be men trying to show what they got, but even woman join the fun with their own show that they're better than man. Or is it that the drinks are good and life is bad? More likely the latter.

War after war, I knew one bar always exists. There is always one, but to find one so close to a school of super high tiers was not likely. And still, here we are, in drunk central.

"I thought I told you to stop calling us that old man!" Emilio grunts as he attacks the man who had opened the door. The old man, holding cane as old as time(damn is that movie old) stops him with a single push of his hand as he laughs him off. He wasn't essentially old, mere 50 years maybe. More specifically, 57. He looked a bit worn out with a limp leg and a missing arm, including the act of not having a bath in four days. Add that with he hasn't shave correctly for much longer. He didn't have a beard, but a bit of gruff and a bunch of scars.

Most of them from the razor. Poor 'poor' people.

"Your still too young to beat me, boy." He grins back and Emilio shouts back at him. Diego stays casual as he ventures to greet some other different people. It took me a few seconds to look around and get the bearings on this place. Surprisingly, it was quite quaint. The bar was at the back, but it was just a stand that separated the bartender from the people and hid the cellar on the floor. Everyone was more than normal. Dancing crazy people in one corner, drunks fighting on a card game, and so much more. I would be lying if I wasn't excited.

What I notice more than anything else was the structure of where they are. You be surprised how planned these drunks are. I see plenty of weapons a bit away from view and plenty more behind with the bartender. No decoration or specialty. It was clear that the minute a false alarm came up, they would run.

This wasn't a normal group of misfits wanting some illegal fun.

 Rebels.

Scars ranged from recent to old wars. Mostly men stayed and drank, but a few women were around. Some had stolen smokes, other were planning a new hunt. No real plans to take over the world in their hands, but it is clear that this run deeper than many would think. I knew that rebellion existed, it always does. This one wasn't as small as previous generations with covenants running all around the world.

Instituted in the year 2060, it created incidents of mass murder like the killing of Saint Pakistani, The Massacre of the Butcher Germans, and a few more creative names(my personal favorite being the Irish Drinker Disaster, good memories).

Might I add that none of these were rebellion caused, more like unfortunate run-of-the-mill incidents that caused the government to frame them for the murder of thousands of individuals and soon call them the biggest and more wanted 'terrorist' group named La Machos, which wasn't even their name but was created by a certain viral video in Mexico, which caused the destruction of Mexico and War of the Spanish. Which led to more than one interesting events which were more corruption in the making added with a twinge of greed from the government.
