"Ahahahahaha! This is just too much fun!" Dr. Bobl played around with his new toy, which just so happened to be a giant monster of chaos and destruction. "Finally I get to use this thing! Hmmm... how about this?" He flicked a switch and fire came out of the robot's hand. "Ha! Yes, the HookCooker is exactly as I wanted and more!"
"Alright, now it's my turn!" April pushed Bobl out of the way and randomly pressed buttons and flicked switches and levers, making the robot conduct a bunch of random actions that came close to overriding the system.
"Somebody, anybody, HELP!!" Someone shouted from down below, holding their hands on their head as if to signify going insane.
"Somebody, anybody, and the other two guys are here!" Kylah shouted back from Jackson's board. April looked out the small window on the front of the robot and smirked. She aimed the fire towards them, but they all jumped off the board and went different directions.
Suddenly, the robot's left leg froze. You already know why. "WHAT?" April frantically pushed the leg lever until the ice broke off. "Ha! Not that easy this time!
"I wonder... Hot!" August slammed the Aether into the leg of the robot, which didn't seem to be much help. It couldn't stab in much, or at least enough to cause considerable damage to the beast. But he kept trying to slice through the hard outer shell of steel.
Jackson shot a missile at the monster, making it tip slightly, but it got back to its feet in two seconds. Jackson realized a weakness two seconds after those other two seconds of the HookCooker being stunned. "Wait a minute, if I just..." Jackson repeatedly shot at the beast until it fell over, unable to stand back up. "Aha! I did something!"
"Ugh... Bobl... what do we do?" April stood up from the mess that accumulated at the back of the robot. "Can we... stand it up, or..?" she climbed up the floor of the robot to reach the control pad where she fumbled around with one hand, trying to get it to do something. Its arms flailed punched walls and burned buildings, before abruptly stopping. Its left arm was held above the front window. April and Bobl looked up in shock, and she let go of the control pad and fell to the back wall again, nearly spraining her ankle. The hand suddenly started to fall towards them, but it didn't hit before April grabbed a piece of debris and smashed a hole in the wall and they were able to escape. The robot lay there, lifeless. I mean, it was lifeless before, but now it wasn't doing anything.
"Holy..." Jackson's heart silently celebrated inside his ribcage, and he got chills and random itches. "I... I really did something... Aha! MVP! MVP!" The four landed at the robot's limp and destroyed body to see April and Bobl walk around its still slightly polished left side. The four were so sure they were dead, whoever was in there.
"Who... are you..?" August stared at them, Bobl's one small cut on his right cheek, only bleeding slightly.
"Your inevitable defeat." April swung her arms toward the ground, and two large beams of lightning cut through the robot behind them.
"I'll... I'll just, uh, stay on the ground for this." Jackson backed away, and tripped on a fallen pillar behind him, and smacking the back of his head on the pavement. He brushed the gravel out of his red hair and analyzed the two threats standing before him.
"I believe you've been well... acquainted with my great friend and employee, Mattgik!" April advanced and kicked a cracked trash bin out of her way. "You have reason to fear me as you fear death." She snapped her fingers, and suddenly, her hands were engulfed in a purple flame, as were Everhet's.
"H-hey... that's my Ryee... you..." Everhet pointed at her hands, more shocked than ever before in his life.
"Copied yours? Why yes, that's exactly what I did, Everhet!" April picked up Everhet through her newfound power. "You don't stand a chance, despite outnumbering us. Because I am all five of us, all at once!" She swung Everhet into a window, flinging him into a table, glass cutting his sweatshirt and arms. Kylah silently hucked a snowball at her, but she saw it and turned it right back at her. She froze.
"Kylah! Kylah, are you okay? Oh, why am I trying to ask you, I'm such an idiot..." August pounded against her frozen arms, trying to dig through the thick ice to save her. He was slammed in the back of the head by what looked like Jackson's watch, but when he was able to look back at him, he was pointing at April, who now had his watch. "What? But... but you have your watch..."
"I didn't steal his watch, you moron! I copied it, as I did with Everhet's Ryee." She attempted to slam him again, but he cut her off with his Aether-Blades. He hoisted the leftover metal from her attack and threw it back at her. As she was copying Kylah's power with her eyes closed, she didn't expect that, and was sent flying back into Bobl, and they went flying into the robot's main engine, which turned red and screeched like a teapot. It blew up, and April and Bobl were sent flying into a building, where the three didn't see them emerge.
Everhet called 911, and August warmed up Kylah with his Aether to unfreeze her. When the police arrived, they didn't find April and Bobl in that building, or anywhere for that matter. They had returned back to their base, using a teleportation device Bobl brought with him. The four were offered money for their efforts, and of course they took it, they were fourteen. When the four returned home, August's mom gave him a, how do I say this, vocal beating? Violent talking-to? You interpret that the way you want to. Anyway, he was reprimanded for coming home eight hours after he promised. The others were also grounded, naturally.
"Huh, these four look... promising." Somebody had watched their battle live. "Especially that, uh, Jackson, was it? Yeah, he was so rad. Stellar performance. I just gotta meet these guys! I guess you could say that'd be... Terry-fic!"
