It chills you all the way through
It terrifies, it's nothing new
At this moment in time you are surrounded, by yourself
But it can also help you put your nightmares back on the shelf
It can numb, and take away the pain
Can see the hurt, just hear heartbeats and rain
Although you know it will all still be the same
This nothingness is the filler, choosing it, you to blame
Nothing lasts forever, not love, hurt, numb or all
It's just an endless cycle from feeling happy to small
But sometimes life is better to be between the lines
Don't follow the rules, you'll still be fine
