Silver, this pretty color, found in the stars and moon
Shining brightly, never questioned, and leaving just as soon
People do not love it as diamond, platinum, or gold
But silver sky's I look into, and see life's not so hard and coldIt doesn't get the credit it really should
It means a second place, you were so close, failed but good
Silver is not a bragging right
Getting so close, can't sleep at night
You put up a good fight, but you fell shortIt's slender fingers tapping on a window pane
It's watching the raindrops slide down, in the thundering storms, the thrashing rain
Silver beauty it's crystal ice
It's beautiful, you pay the price
