Crossing over the plains once more to the western end of the island, suddenly the smell of the plains is replaced by the scent of flowers. They slowly approach a forest quite beautiful tall oak trees scattered around surrounded by smaller cherry trees. Uriah spots a small creek and see Medellia grazing there.
Uriah pulls out the whistle given to him, and he calls to Medellia, who uppon the call trots over to them and neighs in delight." We should rest here Keryanna."
Keryanna nods"Whats in the box?"
Uriah pulls the box from his pouch hesitating to open it."I am not sure what it could be. I still don't know how that hermit has any relation to my family. We certainly arent related.
"Well lets open the box and find out."She says seriously.
Uriah beings to open the box, his family crest acting as a latch on its front. As he looks inside he pulls out two small bracelets. They are made of a dull blue colored metal , have a shining silver colored gym that gives off a dull white glow, and along their edges is writing that matches that of the markings on his shield.
Keryanna looks at the bracelets in awe."There is something special about these bracelets Uriah I can feel it. Hurry put them on."
Uriah looks at the bracelets for a moment before unlatching them and placing them on his wrist. The moment he does so a pulse of energy is released from the bracelets and Uriah is knocked to the ground hie eyes and the gems suddenly begin to glow with bright white light.
Uriah opens his eyes to see himself standing on a deck of some sort , his surroundings clouded in fog. He begins to look around. "Keryanna!" He calls to her yet no answer, when suddenly the fog fades away revealing the deck of the pirate ship that attacked his village. He looks in horror to see hs mother tied to the base of the main mast. her face beaten and bloody. He quickly runs to free her but as he grabs ahold of the ropes that bind her, his hands only pass through them as a ghost.
His mother looks up to him"Be strong my son, Be strong. "She says as suddenly the ship is enveloped in a massive storm cloud. terror fills Uriahs mind as the ship is riddled by lightning strikes that destroy the main mast of the ship. "MOTHER!"Uriah yells as he is launched backwards into a secondary mast. As he look to the sky another bolt of lightning lights up the sky revealing a black mass high above the ship to be that of a dragon.
"Need a hand?" A voice calls out to Uriah as a hand reaches out and picks him up.
As Uriah stands, he realizes its the old man, but before he can say a word the dragon from the village burst from the seas, its bronze scales covered in blood as it attacks the black dragon with a blast of fire that lights up the sky and the ship around Uriah
As the flames envelop him and, the vessel Uriah is jerked awake by Keryanna, finding him self in her arms as they rest in the creek ."W What happened?"
Keryanna looks to him worried."I was going to ask you the same thing."
Uriah looks confused the thought of what he saw racing through his mind . Was it real, a vision of the future ? or something else. All the possibilities flood through his mind. "I I had a vision " He explains the vision to her the shock of what happened still shaking his body . He looks down at the bracelets and suddenly they glow and the writing begins to glow on their side. Before Uriah can try to take them off the metal of the bands expand and form gauntlets around his hands. "What is going on here?" He sits in shock; he raises his hands to look at the gauntlets.
