Day before
Jade was sitting in a diner waiting for Nate to show up. She had something to get off her chest.
Nate walked up to the table and sat across from Jade.
"Hey so what you wanted to talk about?" he asked.
Jade clasped her hands together.
Nate started to feel nervous like he was at a job interview.
"Yea I thought about it, and I decided that I'm going to tell Jacob."
Nate's eyes grew wide
"What I thought we both agreed nothing happened, so it's all good."
Jade shook her head
"No, it's not all good... I can't keep it a secret from Jacob."
"You can't tell him, Jade, I'm his brother he'd kill me like Adam did his brother over Eve."
"That's not how it..."
Jade decided not to let Nate distract her.
"My mind is made up, and I'm telling him." She said.
"But nothing happened." Nate pleaded.
Nate knew if Jacob found out then he would probably have his head. For even attempting to kiss Jade. Also thought it was the right thing, he didn't want Jade to tell.
"Exactly and the sooner I tell him, the better Jade sat back and crossed her arms.
A waitress walked up to their table.
"Are you two ready to order?" She asked through a big grin too one of her teeth were missing.
"Can You give us a minute?" Jade quickly spoke up.
Once the waitress left, they resumed the conversation.
Nate sighed.
"So how soon are you planning to tell him?" He asked.
"Tomorrow after he leaves rehab."
"Do you think that's a good idea?" Nate questioned."
"Look if I wait until later or Jacob finds out he's going to kick your ass, so I'm doing you a favor." Jade snapped.
Nate looked at her.
"You are now the female version on Jacob."
Then he stood up and walked out.
Jade said nothing
"Are you ready to order now mam?" The waitress asked.
She picked up the menu taking a glance.
"Yes, I want the French toast plate with extra bacon and apple juice. Jade ordered casually.
The next day.
After Jade dropped the girls off, she started her two hour drive out of the city.
Since Jacob didn't want the media attention, he decided to go to a rehab center the next town over. As she was driving, she glanced at her duffel bag Jacob told her to pack an overnight bag.
Jade was filled with excitement and uncertainty she was excited to see Jacob after not hearing from him a month. Unsure about the future and how he will take the news about Nate.
