Chapter 26

"I don't get visitors," Crystal told the guard as she was being led into the phone visitation area.

She walked up to see a lady with short blonde hair sitting on the opposite side of the glass. Crystal picked up the phone.

The woman raised the phone to her ear.

"Hello are you Crystal Lewis?" she asked.

"Yes, I am who are you?" she asked.

"I'm Beverly from Hollywood reports, I wanted to ask you a few questions."

"About what.."

"Do you know Jade Lewis."

"Yes that's my sister what about her.."Crystal said rolling her eyes.

"Well I have a proposal for you.."

"Which is?"

"I'm here to ask you some questions about your sister if you can give me some information..

"What's In it for me she asked

"since your bail is low we can pay it she offered

Crystal paused and thought about it.

"Sure I'll do it

"ok great first is Jade pregnant

"yes

"How many months?"

"About four or five I guess its kinda hard to tell with twins."

The reporters ears perked up

"twins..."

Crystal nodded confirming

"last question do you know the genders."

Crystal shook her head

"No I don't ."

"Oh well if you can't give all the information we can't help you."

"How long is the offer on the table she asked.

The woman looked at her.

"Honestly the way stuff like this work is first come first serve so I recommend the quicker you get the information the better." she informed her.

"I can find out in a couple of days crystal told ber.

"Well ok I'll be back in a couple days it was nice talking to you Ms. Caprise." she said

"times up a guard announced to Crystal as she hung the phone up and was led back into the jail.

She made her way over to the phones and made a quick phone call

"Please answer she crossed her fingers as the phone ringed.

"Hey can you come see tomorrow I need to talk to you she said.

"Ok good see you tomorrow." she said then hung the phone up.

The next day

Nate was making his way into the visitation area in the prison for some reason Crystal called and needed him to come by. At first he was going to say no but he was still on the fence about testifying against her and would've felt kinda bad if he said no.

He makes his way over to a table when Crystal makes her way over and takes a seat.

"So how are things?" he asked.

She looked at him.

"I haven't showered in three days because the water pipes are down."

Nate , but he believed her.

"But I didn't call you to talk about that I need you to help me with something.."

"What's that,' Nate asked raising his brow.

"Do you know the genders of the twins?" Crystal asked

"No I don't .. Jade is keeping it a secret?"

"So no one knows?'

"No.. and why are you asking?" he questioned.

She sighed.

"I talked to someone who will pay my way if I tell them.

"It's not Ray is it cause..."

Crystal shook her head.

"No its not for him its for a reporter."

"What does any of this have to do with me."

"Come your the only person who could help." she told him.

He looked at her confused.

"How am I going to help you?"

She rolled her eyes.

"I need you to find out the genders of the twins."

"You know Jade is keeping it the twins genders top secret and if she hasn't told Jacob I  seriously doubt she'll tell me." Nate explained.

"Aren't your curious?" she asked.

Nate crossed his arms he was dying to know the genders.

"Yes but like i said Jade isn't going to tell anyone that."

"Look all you gotta do is go to the clinic and since you are the father.. Of one them you should be able to know what's going on with your own child right?" she stated.

Nate actually seen her point.

"Ok I'll do it but don't mention any of this to Jade." he told her.

"That's something you don't have to worry about she said dryly.

Nate stood up.

"Alright I'll see what I can and I'll let you know." he told her then he walked out of the room.

Later that day Nate was wearing a suit  walking into the clinic where Jade goes to he walked over to the receptionist desk.

The receptionist looked up at him.

"How may I help you sir?" they asked.

"I need the papers for Jade Lewis.

"I'm sorry who are you sir?'

"I'm Jacob Johnson."

She looked at him.

"Oh Mr. Johnson.. Ok well just give me one second and i will be right back," She said walking off.

Moments later the receptionist came back with a big yellow envelope.

"Here you go," she said handing him the envelope.

"Thanks," he said taking it then making his way out of the building he walked over to his car and got inside.

He opened the envelope and flipped through a stack of papers until he came across one that caught his eyes the gender papers.

"I'm having a girl," he sat back taking a deep breath.
