Negan, Lucille and Athena

Chapter 1

Negan's POV:

I've just got home from work. Lucille is sat at the table, looking like something is bothering her. "You alright darling?" I asked. She just smiled at me and hugged me. "What's that for?" I asked and I planted a kiss on her lips. She went over to the table and picked up an envelope and passed me it. I opened it - it was a baby scan. "You're pregnant?" I asked. Lucille's eyes filled with tears and nodded. I pulled Lucille into a hug and she wrapped her arms around me. "We should have a little party to tell everyone." I smiled. We've wanted a baby for ages. Lucille put her hand to my face. "Let's wait until my bump shows abit first. I don't wanna jinx it or anything."

Time skip:

A couple months has passed and Lucille's bump is showing. We've invited everyone over: Rick and Lori (who is quite far in her pregnancy), Michonne, Carol, Daryl, Beth, Maggie, Glenn, my younger sister Jadis and others. "So we do have something to tell you all." I said happily and nodded to Lucille, who said "I'm pregnant!" Everyone cheered and we all got congratulated.

Another time skip:

Me and Lucille are laid in bed, I'm reading a book and Lucille is just looking down at her baby bump. She's about halfway through her pregnancy. "Negan give me your hand quick." She grabbed my hand and put it to her belly. I could feel our baby kicking. I felt tears well up in my eyes. "Do you want a boy or girl?" Lucille asked. I smiled at her and said "I'm not fussed." Then I looked down at the baby bump. "Daddy loves you no matter what you are." I kissed Lucille on her head and we cuddled up. She's got a scan tomorrow tomorrow for us to find out if we're having a boy or a girl.

We went to the doctors office for the ultrasound scan. I held Lucille's hand tightly as the doctor did the scan, then we heard it. Our baby's heartbeat. Lucille's hand tightened in mine and I kissed her head. "Would you like to know the gender?" The doctor asked. Me and Lucille looked at each other then nodded. The doctor told us that we were having a little girl. My heart just warmed up.

Later that evening we had everyone around (Lori had given birth a month ago to baby Carl). We told everyone the gender of the baby, and everyone was ecstatic. "Ok so me and Lucy have been talking and we've decided on who we'd like the godparents to be! Daryl and Jadis." I said. Daryl gladly accepted and Jadis was beyond excited - it could be debated whether she was more excited than me!

Coming up to Lucille giving birth:

So Lucille has been having sleepless nights, puking most the night, I take care of her the best I can. When she's usually like this, we mainly just cuddle up.

We're cuddled up as we usually do. Lucille is due any day. We've got our little girls crib up ready. "Negan. I think my water's just broke." Lucille groaned in pain. My heart started to race. "Come on darling, let's get you to the infirmary." I said panicked. Thankfully Alexandria has its own infirmary (we all live in Alexandria). We got her on a hospital bed and her contractions were extremely close. The doctor told her to push and I was encouraging her. "I'm your wife, not one of your students!" She yelled. I chuckled but not too much as I knew she only said that because of her pains, but she's taking it like a champ. She's not asked for any drugs or anything. Then we heard it - our little baby's cry. I cut the umbilical cord and the doctor handed her over to Lucille. She's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Tears started rolling down my face, which Lucy noticed. "Wow is the coach shedding tears?" She playfully asked and I brought her into a hug. "Well done darling, she's perfect. What shall we call her?" Lucille looked down at our little girl and smiled. "Athena." She passed Athena over to me and I held her in my arms. "Daddy loves you so much baby girl." I lifted my daughter up and planted a kiss on her adorable little head. I'm gonna be the best daddy I can be for this little beauty.
