HIDDEN CHAPTER: THE FAILED MISSION
Thailandeon's Point of View
My older sister seems to be tensed and unfocused as we stake out in one of the sites for the known drug cartel here in Malaysia. Ever since she arrived here by my side she's being fidgety instead of the usual calm and calculated Asia that I know. Cleaning and shining my gun, I tested the in-ear gadget that Guadalupe made. Britainne, the eldest among us is probably sitting in a leather chair, mixing and matching the agents to their next assigned idol to protect. "Hello, Thailand on the site," Bullets of sweat gather on my forehead and I did my best to wipe it away secretly. Packing a small pocket knife in my boots and some ammo, I looked over my shoulder to see Asia doing something in her phone. I coughed and Asia looked at me.
"You look pale, Eon. Are you okay?" The fact that I finished my Bar Exam an hour ago before coming here, I can feel a bit of headache from my temple towards my nape. Earlier, Asia and I went on a café to have our alibi if ever we were asked where we were before any accident or something happened. "I'm okay," Coughing again; I stared at my older sister and wondered how we became related. Our Dads left us and some even died before we were born. "I can do the mission, Eon. You can stay here and drink some meds," She handed me a Paracetamol and a bottle of water which I took. Everything around us is dangerous yet we treat the world as if it's our playground. Asia started to zip her black bodysuit and clicked her tongue when the zipper got stuck half-way. "You became fat, you pig. Do you even work out anymore?" She threw me a dark glare before taking a deep breath and zipping it up. "You fucker, you know that this is an emergency mission that's why I don't have the time to condition my body," I agree to what she said.
Mom suddenly gave out a short notice and briefing of what's here in Malaysia. I was expecting Ontarioi to be my partner since he's the nearest agent here in Malaysia but to my shock, it's one of my sisters and she was even reluctant to take this assignment. When the x-ray device beeped, the both of us became alert. "I even left Jihoon for this," Among the four of us, Asia was the child who had the knack to memorize new words and vocabulary. Mom even told us the incident of buying the original version of Dora The Explorer edition and she left it playing on the home theater, when she came back, Britainne was crying while, Asia kept on talking to them in Portuguese.
"Target moving," Asia went on full-agent mode while my mind kept on drifting from how diverse the four of us became. I snapped at myself and watched the screen. "Delgado keeps on slipping everytime we catch him, I wonder why is that?" I asked myself and Asia stretched her arms and legs; ignoring my question. "I'll go first and you follow, okay?" I nodded and let her off the van we're using. The get-away motorcycles are parked outside and I made sure that it's enough for two persons to occupy it. My head keeps on throbbing as I kept on giving directions to my sister. The light outside makes my eyes water and I hissed when the screen blurred my sight.
"Thailandeon Romulus Adamme, you know that you're having a migraine attack yet you took the assignment," Gaudalupe or also known as Maria voiced out and I groaned. She's the youngest person in the higher ups and you can say that I dislike her because, she's right. "Do you want me to take-over? I can be Asia's eye since you're pretty much useless whenever you're having an attack," I clicked my tongue and opened my eyes. "I can do this, Maria." The sudden gunshots made me jump on my seat and I stood up when I heard my sister cursing non-stop. She keeps on changing language while shouting strings of profanities.
"Fuck! Eon, back me up!" I stood up and opened the door, loading my gun and stealthily walking in the grassy place. "Agent Romulus on the field," I whispered and Asia kept on whimpering, she's holding her right arm while aiming at the person who's smiling maniacally. "In position," While, Asia excels on short range combat, I make up with her lacking on long range combat and skills. Asia shouts as another person tried to shoot her in the arm. She got shot. Adrenaline ran through my veins as I shoot the people who keep on coming towards her. I aimed for the person standing on the middle who kept on grinning with his arms spread, shooting him in the arm. With only one person left, I climbed down and went near my sister whose teeth are chattering.
