In between their surgeries, Sam and Jaime were in the attending's lounge to grab a quick cup pf coffee.

"So I heard you and Matthew are back?"

Sam takes a sip from her cup then sits down across Jaime.

"Well, I guess. We're still figuring things out naman."

Jaime nods, "Tama 'yan. Don't rush it, mas mabuti nang sigurado ka."

Sam wrinkles her forehead, "Wow, iba ka today, a?"

"Why?"

"Kasi last week, kung makapagsabi ka saakin na balikan ko si Matthew, kulang na lang itulak mo 'ko sakanya, e."

Jaime chuckles, "I only said to open your heart. When I asked what are you waiting for, I was asking kung anong hinihintay mo para bigyan siya ng chance kasi nga, mahal ka nung tao at mahal mo naman din. I never said to rush getting back together though..."

Sam shakes her head and raises her hand in the air, "Wala, James, kakaiba ka. I swear, if your Tagalog skills are as crisp as your wits!" She teases.

"Hoy! I've gotten better!" Jaime says, throwing her a throw pillow.

Sam shrugs her shoulder, "Sige, sabi mo, e."

"Oy, kumpara mo naman dati."

Sam laughs, "True. That's true."

Jaime sits up, "Ikaw naman... kelan mo sasabihin kay Matthew si Miguel?"

Sam sighs. "'Di ko nga alam, James, e. Every time na iniisip ko, parang feeling ko parang niloloko ko si Matt. And I'm lying to my kid's face, literally."

"Kung ako 'yung tatanungin mo, I'd tell him soon. Soon is always better than later. And personally? I think Miguel would love that too."

"Was he asking you?"

Jaimie nods. "He asked me if I knew his Papa."
