Present
By the time I was done explaining I was shaking and crying once again. It was quiet embarrassing having this stranger see me at my weakest point.
Nash slowly took me into his arms and I let him. "You're safe now, Chloe." I nodded into his now damped chest from my tears.
"You can stay here if you want to." He offered.
"No," I sniffled breaking the contact. "That would be too much. I can't ask that from you, I don't even know you."
"That is true," Nash nodded running his finger through his hair. "But I know you enough to know that you can't go out there tonight,"
"Come on." He said quietly grabbing my hand, pulling me off the couch. He lead me upstairs as I silently wiped up my tears with the back of my other hand.
He instructed me to sit a bed as he dug through some dressers. He soon pulled out a shirt and sweats. "Thank you." I shakily said grabbing them.
"Come out into the hall when you are done."
I nodded and he closed the door to the room. I changed into the oversized clothes. I walked up to the mirror in the corner of the room to flatten done my puffy hair and looked at myself in the mirror. My face was red and puffy along with my eyes that were blood shot.
What's gonna happened to Mike? Is my dad going to hurt him? Is my dad going to find me? My thoughts kept attacking me with questions.
I shook my head getting the thoughts to go away. I didn't need this right now, I've been through a lot today and I need sleep. Letting out a breath I walked to the door into the hall.
Nash stood against the wall looking down. His head snapped up once the door creaked all the way open. He gave my soft small walking to me. "You can sleep in my bed. I'll sleep on the couch next to my bed to make sure you are alright. Is that okay?"
"Yeah, yeah that's fine." I nodded.
"I'll make sure you are okay tonight. Don't worry." He reassured me. His words sent shivers down my back at the familiar words my brother said to me
I grabbed my packed suitcase and walked into the living room. Mike saw me walk in and gave me a reassuring smile. He walked up to me and pulled me into a tight hug. He whispered in my ear, "I'm gonna stick by your side the whole time. Don't worry." I smiled up at him and nodded.
I forced on a smile for his attempt to make me feel safe. I was happy I wasn't with my dad right now and I do feel safer. However I feel like I'm not safe, at least not for long.
"So this room then?" I point to the room behind me. He nodded walking into the room.
"Wait, uh, are you hungry or anything? If you need to go to the bathroom there is one across the hall."
"No, I'm okay. Thank you." I pulled the blanket off the bed to slip into it.
Nash turned off the light and laid down on the couch to the right of the bed. "If you need anything durning the middle of the night, wake me up. Okay?"
"Okay. Night, Nash." I said into the darkness
"Goodnight, Chloe."

I woke up the next morning with a muscular arm wrapped around me. I was confused at when I saw Nash laying next to me. I didn't question it at the moment as I was still exhausted from last night. I closed my eyes having his warmth radiating on me.
A couple minutes later there was a knock on the door. "Nash bud, wake up we got shit to do today." Said a voice from the other side of the door.
Nash groaned and tighten his grip on me.
"Nnnnaasssshhh!" The voice continued and pounded on the door. Nash's eyes flickered open. Before he could say anything a tan boy wearing a white v-neck and kaki shorts with brown hair walked in.
"Ooo Nashy who's this!? And why is she wearing your clothes. Did you guys bang?" The boy winked.
My mouth became agape from the straightforward question. Nash turned his head to the door. "Cameron, leave."
"Why so you guys can go for round 2?" He ask and started bursting out laughing.
My cheeks reddened from anger and embarrassment. "No you didn't gave sex. I needed a place to stay." My tone came out a little harsh.
Cameron, I guess his name was, stopped laughing and had a concerned look, "Oh I'm sorry." I laid my head back down on the pillow ignoring his apology. "Well Nash we have that meet and greet with all the guys later." He explained and walked out
"Shit I forgot about that." Nash mumbled.
Meet and greet? Why would they have that?
He looked down and saw that his arm was around me still. He quickly removed it and apologized. His pale cheeks tinting a crimson color.
"Uh it's fine, but how did you get over here?" I questioned awkwardly sitting up.
"You were crying in your sleep so I came over here to wake you up. But you didn't so I laid by you and you started to calm down." He continued, "Uhm, I'm gonna go take a shower. You can go in the kitchen and make yourself breakfast."
I nodded my head getting out of the bed too to change. He closed the door and I changed back into my clothes from yesterday.
I sat on the bed staring at the wall for a little bit until my stomach started growling. I really wish Michael came back with the Chinese. My stomach growled once again making me leave the room to the kitchen. I walked down the stairs to come face to Cameron, I believe his name was, and eight teenage boys.
